Vodafone Foundation helps enable charities to harness the power of mobile technology to create a healthier Australia.
We call it ‘power for good’.
For the next three years, we’ll support leading heart and diabetes institute – Baker IDI – in increasing awareness of the health risks linked to prolonged sitting, and to launch a new Smartphone app that gives Aussies a tool to reduce their sitting time and improve their health.
And we’ll support Hello Sunday Morning's movement towards a better drinking culture, by helping to fund creation of a new app that empowers Australians to improve their relationship with alcohol.
Our long-standing World of Difference program supports Australians to leave their day jobs to take a year of Paid Charity Leave to help a charity they’re passionate about.
Vodafone Foundation was established in 2002 and has donated more than $21 million to charities. It is also one of 28 Vodafone Foundation’s around the world using mobile technology to make social change and improve people’s lives.
Vodafone Foundation’s Board is made up of senior Vodafone staff and one independent director. The trustee board is responsible for the governance and financial management of the Vodafone Foundation, and ensures we deliver on our purpose and goals.
