Winner of App Aid 2013.

Congratulations to the team from beyondblue and Two Bulls for taking out the App Aid 2013 title.

Their app idea proved to be the most popular, receiving the highest number of donations and raising $16,626 from the public through crowdfunding on Pozible.

The charity will now receive an additional $10,000 from Vodafone Foundation, to help bring their app to market.

Here's the winning app idea

Five charities. Five developer teams. Five apps to change our world.

All five of our participating charities – beyondblue, McGrath Foundation, Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Taronga Foundation – together with their mobile app developer teams came up with some awesome app ideas to help the communities they serve. Thanks to all those who made a pledge on Pozible to support these great app ideas. Every pledge made was matched by Vodafone Foundation (up to $10,000 per charity).

More about App Aid.

Vodafone Foundation’s App Aid 2013 enabled five charities see their organisation through fresh eyes and find new and innovative ways to assist the communities they serve. To help them, we paired these courageous charities with some of Australia’s most talented digital agencies and developers.

The teams prototyped a mobile app, created a business case and pitched their idea to the public to appeal for further funding. To help these charities get their mobile apps to market, Vodafone Foundation and Vodafone contributed $120,000 in support.
