Our 3G broadband (HSDPA) network currently covers metropolitan areas in Sydney, Central Coast, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. Plus all major international airports in Australia. We are constantly expanding it. When you are working within 3G broadband coverage, you will on average experience much faster access and download speeds than dial up access speeds. Keep in mind various factors such as coverage, your location, your hardware and software, the source of your download and general network and internet traffic will impact on actual speeds experienced.

If you're travelling outside 3G broadband areas, our GPRS network will cover 92% of the places people live and work in Australia.

Mobile broadband coverage to 95% by Christmas

We're building a national mobile broadband network to reach 95% of the Australian population

We plan to roll out a national mobile broadband network that will provide high-speed coverage to 95% of the Australian population before Christmas 2008.

We'll be upgrading sites in every state and territory, simultaneously. The new network will enable faster download and upload speeds, as well as improved network coverage and capacity for standard 2G and 3G voice calls.
