Windows Mobile Email Solution

The Windows Mobile Email solution is a mobility solution from Vodafone based on Microsoft Exchange Server (2003 and above). The solution is tightly integrated into the Microsoft mail platform with no need for additional infrastructure. 

How does it work? 

The Windows Mobile Email solution comprises three key components:  

1. Choose between a Windows Mobile or a Microsoft Exchange Email compatible handheld. Both devices offer wireless email, the benefits of a PDA and the freedom of a mobile phone. Windows Mobile handhelds have a straightforward Microsoft Windows style interface, whilst Microsoft Exchange Email compatible handhelds include User Interfaces which will be familiar to those that have used devices such as Sony Ericsson or Nokia before. 2. Microsoft Exchange 2003 with Service Pack 2 (or above) or Microsoft Exchange 2007.

Security and Control

Security is based on Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Administration uses the Exchange System Manager application for global security settings and Active Directory for individual user security settings.
