Get to know your data needs and make the most of your favourite sites and apps while controlling your costs.

You may not realise it, but some of your favourite apps require data to function properly. This includes apps that have been pre-installed on your phone, like email, or you may have purchased them from app stores like Android Market, the App Store on your iPhone or Nokia's Ovi Store. Downloading of apps over the mobile network also uses data.

It's also important to check that you've closed your apps properly once you have finished using them to ensure they don't continue to use data in the background.
