Activate Prepaid Mobile SIM

Have your SIM certificate details ready, you’ll find this on the sticker behind your SIM card, along with a form of ID (passport, Australian driver’s licence or birth certificate).

Recharge

Register your credit card at My Vodafone and follow the prompts to complete your recharge payment. Once you have registered your credit card, recharging from your mobile becomes even more convenient!

You can now use your PayPal account to recharge with Vodafone! PayPal accounts can be set up with a credit card or debit account.

Call 1555 (free call) and follow the prompts to register your credit card to recharge right away.

Use your Vodafone phone menu and recharge with a few clicks. It's easy! Find 'Vodafone' on your desktop (or under 'My Applications' - mobile phone menus may differ slightly), select 'My Account', then 'Pay Account'. You can even register your credit card through this menu for future payments.

Once you have registered a credit card or set up a PayPal account online, you can also recharge through Vodafone live! Simply click the live! button on your mobile, scroll down to 'My Vodafone' and select 'My Account'. You can view and check your balance anytime, and recharge on the spot. Remember browsing on live! is free.

Account balance via TXT

You can send a FREE TXT to 1512 or 1555 and get your current account balance sent to you by TXT or simply find 'Vodafone' on your phone menu and select 'My Account' and click 'Balance'.

What can I access on My Account as a Prepaid customer?

All Vodafone Australia Prepaid customers are able to access the following on My Account:

  • Call details (a detailed list of the last 2 months of calls made, subject to a 24 hour delay)
  • Recharge history details up until the last three months)
  • Account balance information (this information will be updated every 15 minutes)
  • Activate/Deactivate and View IDD settings
  • Activate/Deactivate and View Global Roaming settings
  • Activate/Deactivate and View Roaming Voicemail settings
Personal Unblocking Key (PUK)

The Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) code is an eight digit code specific to your SIM card and is required when the PIN code is entered incorrectly three times on your mobile.

You’re then given 10 attempts to enter the PUK code. Register and/or login at My Vodafone. Once you’ve logged in, select My Phone and then Settings Summary. The PUK code is located under Mobile Information.
