Our Reporting Commitment

We published our first Vodafone Australia CR report in 2007. Our report titled Everybody Counts focused on the importance of our people in responsible business practices and outlined our response to the issues that are most material to our business and stakeholders.

In 2008 we built on this theme with Connect, a report which set out our continuing performance and commitments whilst highlighting through case studies the ways we are connecting with our people and partners to work together and make a difference to the world around us.

In 2009, we are continuing our commitment to public reporting by providing an update on the progress we have made against our CR commitments made to date.

2008 Corporate Responsibility Index

We participated privately in the 2008 Corporate Responsibility Index Aus/NZ. As a first time participant, Vodafone Australia achieved a fantastic result of silver, with an index score of 89.74%. Voluntary participation in the CRI has given us a deeper understanding of our strengths as well as those areas where we can further embed responsible business practices. As a private participant we will not be presented in the public index but we invite you to view our private Corporate Responsibility Index Feedback Report.

Global Reporting Initiative

In our comprehensive CR reports for 2007 and 2008, we used the Global Reporting Initiative Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (GRI:G3) to benchmark our CR reporting and overall performance.
