Vodafone’s H&S management system framework
To manage any health and safety risk our business creates, Vodafone Australia has developed and implemented a H&S Management System that aims to:
Consistent with these principles, Vodafone’s H&S Management System recognises a range of documents that provide information to Vodafone management, Vodafone personnel , and partners. These documents include:
Vodafone H&S policies and procedures
Vodafone Australia’s OH&S procedures recognise the methods and systems utilised by Vodafone to manage H&S issues arising from or related to our business activities in Australia.
Are partners required to adopt and work according to Vodafone’s H&S Policies and Procedures?
Generally, the answer to this question is “NO”. Vodafone partners are expected to identify health and safety issues relevant to the work they perform for Vodafone, and establish and maintain a system (including policies and procedures) that effectively manages injury risk in compliance with OH&S legislation. Therefore, in some cases, Vodafone documents/procedures may be provided as general H&S risk management information.
However, compliance with specific Vodafone documentation (and even processes managed for Vodafone by other partners) could be identified as ‘mandatory’ for the proposed supplier activities, and would be communicated clearly to the supplier.
When parts of the Vodafone OH&S management system are reviewed and amended, partners who are impacted by such changes should be notified. Notification may comprise various communication tools and is coordinated by the Vodafone relationship manager or a nominated Vodafone representative
