Sponsorship Guidelines
We recognise and are sensitive to the fact that consumers are bombarded with advertising and marketing messages every day so we only get involved if we can demonstrate tangible reasons for Vodafone's involvement.
Long-term activities that keep the conversation going with the audience are really what it's about.
What we're not into:
- Simple opportunities for exposure of the Vodafone brand. While it's important to Vodafone, it has no value if we're stuck in the middle of dozens of other sponsor messages and customers don't see a specific reason for Vodafone's involvement.
- One-off events that don't offer opportunities to interact with consumers.
- Corporate hospitality - we can buy this if we want it.
- Activities that takes place outside Australia.
- Religious or political activities.
- Sponsoring individuals.
What we need from you?
Your proposal should include:
- Name, details and credentials of your organisation
- Description of the event or project for which sponsorship is sought
- Where is the event
- Timeline for the project
- A profile of the audience including any market research that is relevant
- Details of other confirmed sponsors involved in the project and references and endorsements from past and existing sponsors
- Media partners and details of their confirmed commitments
- Details of all on-going main media exposure such as television, newspapers or radio promotion where Vodafone would receive exposure
- Level of sponsorship sought (i.e. Principal, Co-sponsor, Supplier) and how many other sponsors are being sought
- Sponsorship amount requested (Cash and/or in-kind)
- Details of all benefits of the sponsorship with an estimation of their worth

Expected participation/attendance/viewing numbers

and most importantly, those really different, exciting ideas that will differentiate Vodafone and make our involvement relevant for the audience.
We receive hundreds of great opportunities so those who make an effort to demonstrate how the opportunity meets our needs will grab our attention.

Please note that Vodafone's financial year is April 1 to March 31. Proposals should be submitted prior to December to be considered for the coming year's sponsorship plan.
