The Vodafone Australia Foundation (Foundation) was established to help our business and our people to invest time expertise and funding back into the communities and the environment in which we live. The Foundation was set up in September 2002 as a tax exempt Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and is comprised of a Board of Directors, an Advisory Group, a team of Partner Managers and team of 3 full-time employees.
The Foundation’s creation follows the establishment of the Vodafone Group Foundation, which ensures a globally co-ordinated approach to social investment activities conducted through local foundations, such as the Vodafone Australia Foundation.

The Vodafone Australia Foundation Board and management revisited its purpose and vision and developed supporting strategies to ensure it continues to be relevant to our stakeholders. The new purpose of the Foundation is ‘to connect those who can with those who can’t’ by leveraging our brand and scale for greater impact. To deliver its new vision, ‘to mobilise 1 million people who care to act’, the Foundation have bought on two new major partners, the Red Cross and Oxfam. |
