| How fast is Mobile Broadband? | |
| Typical download speeds range from 300kbps - 1.5Mbps. Burst speeds of up to 3.6Mbps can be experienced in major metropolitan areas. Slower download speeds may be expected in regional areas. Data capacity and speed experienced may be slower than advertised speeds and can vary due to coverage, location, hardware and software configuration, capability and load of sites visited and general network and internet traffic. Typical Uplink speeds are up to 384kbps. If you are using a device which supports 3G but not 3G Broadband (HSDPA) the maximum download speed is up to 384 kbps. | |

| Prepaid Mobile Broadband You can activate your Prepaid Mobile Broadband online by visiting our Prepaid Mobile Broadband activation site. You will need the following ready to complete the activation process: Mobile Broadband Contract & Built-in It's easy to get up and running with Vodafone Mobile Broadband. Whether you’ve chosen a plan or decided to go with Prepaid, you’ll receive a USB Internet Stick Modem. Simply plug it in, wait for the automatic software installation and you’re connected. With the Data Card you will need to install the software from the CD, plug the modem in and away you go. With Mobile Broadband built-in, it’s even easier – there’s no software to install, simply insert your SIM in the laptop or Netbook and you’re online in an instant. | |
| How do I manage my account? | |
| Prepaid Mobile Broadband You can check your data usage anytime online using My Account then click on "My Account" to view your usage. You'll need to have your Mobile Broadband service number and your My Account password ready. Mobile Broadband Contract & Built-in With 'My Vodafone', you can manage your account whenever you want, online. If you’re on a Vodafone Mobile Broadband Contract, you can log on and keep track of your bills, check your data usage, and update your details. And if you have a Prepaid account, you can also log on to view and keep track of your data allowance, check your account balance and recharge when you need to. To register, go to My Vodafone and follow the instructions. Have your allocated Mobile Broadband service number ready, which you'll find on the paperwork given to you at the time of purchase. | |
