No. You can only purchase the insurance in the following circumstances:

• You have purchased your phone from an authorised Vodafone store, or as part of a handset upgrade from Vodafone's call centre; and
  • You purchase the insurance at the time of the phone purchase; or
  • You receive a marketing offer from Vodafone offering you the insurance

You have a cooling off period of 14 days from when you take out cover during which you can cancel your policy without charge. You can cancel your policy at anytime during the cooling off period simply by contacting Vodafone Customer Care on 1555 FREE from a Vodafone mobile or call 1300 650 410 from any other phone.

You may also cancel the policy at any time after the cooling off period by giving Vodafone Customer Care written notice.

Yes. Your policy may be cancelled by ACE in accordance with the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth), however, your cover will also terminate on the date when:

• Your Vodafone Network Service Agreement for the phone is cancelled; or
• You sell or pass your right, title or interest in the phone to some other person; or
• Your third claim on the insurance policy in a 12 month period has been accepted.

If you upgrade or change your phone, you will need to complete a Handset Insurance Form to update your insured handset. Your local Vodafone store will have the form or you can call
1300 650 410 or 1555 from your Vodafone phone. This needs to be completed on the day you purchase or receive your new or replacement handset or your cover will be invalidated. For more information see the combined PDS & FSG.

Yes, if you permit other adults to use your phone your cover will remain in place on the same terms.

ACE may update the information contained in the PDS and/or the insurance cover when necessary. A paper copy of any updated information is available to you at no cost by calling
1800 808 743 or can be accessed on our website.

Where the update is to rectify a misleading statement or where the revision is considered materially adverse from the point of view of a reasonable person deciding whether to buy this product we will send you a new version of the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). Remember, you can also get a copy of the PDS online.

Generally your premiums are not tax deductible, however, this information is a general statement only and you should see your tax adviser for information about your personal circumstances. Where you are liable to pay an amount of GST in respect of an acquisition relevant to your claim, ACE will pay for the GST amount. However, in no event will ACE pay more than the limits of cover shown in the policy.
