1. What is Vodafone Email?
Vodafone Email is an application that you can download from Vodafone Central that enables you to access all your everyday email accounts in one central location. Emails are automatically delivered to your handset without having to manually update or refresh your inbox.
In just a few minutes you can set-up up to 6 email addresses including work and personal emails, to send, read and receive emails. There is no login required once it's set up, and emails are automatically delivered to your handset.

3. Why is Vodafone Email a better experience
than usual webmail access?
Your email is delivered automatically to your email inbox in a similar way to how your TXTs arrive! You'll never miss another email again, they are delivered straight to your phone without the need to log in.
Some devices allow you to get your email contacts in your phone by syncing your email calendar and contacts to your phone. Check the supported handsets list to see if your handset can sync calendar and contacts.
Upload and download photos directly from your phone so you can share photos, and attachments from your handset.
Get access to up to 6 email addresses on your phone (including Gmail, Yahoo!7 Mail, Windows Live Hotmail, ISP providers and more!).

4. How do I set-up Vodafone Email on my handset?
It's just a few simple steps to get Vodafone Email.
1. Free TXT Email to 12 66 22
2. Click on the link in the return TXT
3. Follow the prompts to set up Vodafone Email.

5. What do I need to remember when I am setting up Vodafone Email?
1. You need to ensure you have a compatible handset.
2. You will need to have an existing email account (such as Gmail or Hotmail) and know your username and password.
3. You'll be prompted to select an access point as you go through the Vodafone Email set-up. Always select the "Vodafone Live" access point.

6. What personal email address can I set-up?
Vodafone Email supports the major providers - Hotmail, Yahoo!7 Mail, Gmail, Bigpond, iinet, TPG, Optusnet and more. You can set up access to your email accounts in 3 simple steps! Just go into your installations/applications folder, select the Vodafone Email application, choose "add account" then "more service providers", enter your user name and password and your done!

7. I have my own personal email address, how do I set it up?
Open the Vodafone Email Application from your applications/installations folder > Select "Add Account", and choose "More Service Providers".
Select Pop3 or IMAP account, and fill in your Incoming and Outgoing server address (this can be obtained from your email provider, if you don't know it).
If you use Microsoft Outlook and have a webmail outlook address you can get access to your work email using Vodafone Email. In addition to your user name and password, you just need to know your "Outlook Web Access" Address. It's the web address you use when accessing their work email via the web or from home. If you don't know this you can check with your company's IT department.

8. What is my OWA? Why do I need to know this?
OWA stands for "Outlook Web Access". It's a feature in Microsoft Exchange servers. Outlook Web Access allows you to access Exchange emails via the web browser.
It's important to know this when you set up your work email address using Vodafone Email, as it tells the service where the customer's Emails are located. (Just like writing an address on a letter).
If you don't know it, it's the web address you use when accessing your work email via the web/at home. Or, check with your company's IT department.

9. What password and username should I use?
You should use the same username and password that you'd use to log into your email. Don't forget these details are case sensitive if you have set them up that way!
Use the username and password that you would to log in to your emails usually.

10. My Emails are not coming through, why?
Please check if your user name and password are still valid. Some Email providers requests users to change their email password every few months.
• Please check if you have mobile coverage.
• If you're using a Microsoft Exchange email address, contact your IT provider.

11. Where are my emails stored?
Emails are stored in the Message Menu of your handset. (Menu » Messages). This can vary slightly form handset to handset, the other place that they can be stored are in your application or installations folder.

12. What servers does Vodafone Email use?
Vodafone Email works with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and newer. Outlook Web Access must be enabled on your email server for Vodafone Email to be able to access your emails. Outlook Web Access is a way to view your email when you're away from the office using a web site.

13. Can I synchronise other email folders than Inbox?
Vodafone Email allows you to view folders in your mailbox that are at the same level as your Inbox, such as your Sent Items, Drafts and Deleted Items. It cannot view folders that are within those folders.
For example, if you have a folder in your Inbox named "Invoices", Vodafone Email will not be able to view its contents unless the folder is moved so that it is in-line with your Inbox .

14. Does Vodafone Email work with a firewall?
Vodafone Email isn't affected by the firewall on your PC, as it accesses your email server directly through Outlook Web Access. You might need to check with your IT administrator/provider that the email account is enabled for Outlook Web Access.

15. What is the maximum number of days to store emails on my handset using Vodafone Email?
Vodafone Email can store up to 100 messages in each folder, but it is limited by the amount of free memory available on your phone. By default, Vodafone Email will try to store all messages up to seven days old.

16. How do I turn off Vodafone Email completely?
To remove the Vodafone Email the service, you need to first pause/remove all your email accounts that have been set up. Find the Vodafone Email application in your installations/applications folder then for each account, select "Options" then "Pause" or "Remove account". Wait for the Paused icon (||) to appear next to the email accounts. Once the accounts have been paused, you can go back to your installations/applications folder and under Vodafone Email, choose "Options" then "Remove".

17. Once paused, why won't it resume?
If Vodafone Email does not resume when you've paused it, go to the inbox of one of your email accounts and then press "Options" then "Check Email" to manually check email. This should resume your service fully.

18. Why would I use the Vodafone Email application when I can access my Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo!7 Mail via the web?
Vodafone Email provides you with email automatically delivered to your handset. There's no need to log in every time to access your email, and you get notifications when you get a new email in the same way as you do when you get an TXT. You can also turn off the notification tone in the same way you change your TXT tone. Emails are stored in the "Messages" menu for your handset (dependant upon your handset).
