Changes to Extras vouchers and switching between prepaid offers

Vodafone is improving their Prepaid systems to provide great Prepaid offers for the future.

In order to make these improvements, we need to change the rules when you move between Prepaid Plans, or when you move between Prepaid Caps and Plans.

Prepaid Plans are 365 Day Recharge and TXT & Talk Recharge offers. Prepaid Caps are the Flexi Cap Recharge offer.

Also, Extras packs will be changing, affecting how you can use this credit.

These changes will be implemented for all customers between 27th June and 30th September and will be permanent.Please see the table below for details of these changes

What happens Today

What will happen from 27/06/10 on all recharges

For customers who continue to recharge on a Flexi Cap

  • Any Flexible or Vodafone to Vodafone credit or bonus Free Talk minutes or Free TXT which are not used by the end of your 30 day expiry period, or before you next recharge, are forfeited

For customers who continue to recharge on TXT & Talk

  • Provided you recharge within your 60 day expiry period, you will keep and accumulate unused credit, Vodafone to Vodafone Free Talk minutes, Free Talk minutes or Free TXT

For customers who continue to recharge on 365 Day

  • Provided you recharge within your 365 day expiry period, you will keep and accumulate unused credit and Vodafone to Vodafone Free Talk minutes

For customers who continue to recharge on a Flexi Cap

  • No change

For customers who continue to recharge on TXT & Talk

  • No change

For customers who continue to recharge on 365 Day

  • No change

For customers changing from TXT & Talk to 365 Day:

  • Provided you recharge within your 60 day expiry period, when you change from TXT & Talk to 365 Day, you will keep any unused credit and Vodafone to Vodafone Free Talk minutes. If applicable, you will forfeit any Free Talk minutes or Free TXT

For customers changing from 365 Day to TXT & Talk:

  • Provided you recharge within your 365 day expiry period, when you change from TXT & Talk to 365 Day, you will keep any unused credit and Vodafone to Vodafone Free Talk minutes.

For customers changing from TXT & Talk to 365 Day:

  • Provided you recharge within your 60 day expiry period, when you change from TXT & Talk to 365 Day, you keep any unused credit

  • You will not be able to keep your accumulated Vodafone to Vodafone Talk minutes, Free Talk minutes and Free TXT. However, should you change back to TXT & Talk within the expiry period of the previous TXT & Talk recharge (60 day expiry), these balances will still be available for you to use

For customers changing from 365 Day to TXT & Talk:

  • Provided you recharge within your 365 day expiry period, when you change from TXT & Talk to 365 Day, you keep any unused credit.

  • You will not be able to keep your accumulated Vodafone to Vodafone Talk minutes, however if you change back to 365 Day within the expiry of your previous 365 Day recharge (365 day expiry), this balance will still be available for you to use.

For customers changing from either TXT & Talk or 365 Day to Flexi Cap:

  • Provided you recharge within your expiry period, when you change from TXT & Talk or 365 Day to Flexi Cap, you will keep any unused credit, Vodafone to Vodafone Free Talk minutes, Free Talk minutes and Free TXT, which must be used within 30 days or before the next recharge, after which time anything carried over will be forfeited.

For customers changing from either TXT & Talk or 365 Day to Flexi Cap:

  • Provided you recharge within your expiry period, when you change from TXT & Talk or 365 Day to Flexi Cap, you will keep any unused credit until it expires (60 or 365 Day expiry depending on the previous recharge). This credit will be used first before your Flexi Cap credit.

  • You will not be able to keep your accumulated Vodafone to Vodafone Talk minutes, Free Talk minutes or Free TXT but these balances will still be available if you change back to TXT & Talk or 365 within the expiry of your previous recharge (60 days or 365 day expiry).

For customers changing from Flexi Cap to either TXT & Talk or 365 Day:

Any Flexible or Vodafone to Vodafone credit or bonus Free Talk minutes or Free TXT which are not used by the end of your 30 day expiry period, or before you next recharge, are forfeited

For customers changing from Flexi Cap to either TXT & Talk or 365 Day:

  • No change

Extras credit:

  • Extras credit can be used to make International calls, send Premium text and purchase Vodafone live! Services

  • For 365 Day and TXT & Talk customers who have an Extras credit balance, Vodafone live! services and Premium text are first deducted from Extras credit and then from Flexible Credit, once the Extras Credit has been exhausted.

Extras credit:

  • Extras credit can be used to send Premium text and purchase Vodafone live! Services. International calls are no longer included

  • 365 Day and TXT & Talk customers can no longer use Extras vouchers. Premium text & Vodafone live! services will always be deducted from Flexible Credit first. Customers with existing Extras credit balances will be able to use these prior to the change. After the change, 365 Day and TXT & Talk customers will only be able to use Extras credit once their Flexible Credit is exhausted.
