Do I have to be a permanent resident or citizen to work for Vodafone Retail Australia?
We consider candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia or New Zealand. We are able to consider candidates on a visa which offers unrestricted working rights and hours including the right to remain in Australia.
What is the minimum age to be considered for employment in a Retail store?
You must be aged 18 or over to work in a Vodafone Retail Store in Australia.
How long will the recruitment process take before a decision is made?
The time the recruitment process takes can vary from one position to the next. The hiring process can take up to 4 weeks.
Can I do work experience with Vodafone Australia?
We do not accept external applications for work experience at our retail store or head office, however, current retail staff may apply for work experience at Vodafone’s head office, Vodafone Central.
Will I receive a response to my job application?
All applicants will receive a response. If you are successful in proceeding to the shortlist stage of our recruitment process, one of our recruitment team members will be in touch to discuss the next steps and organise an interview. The online assessments provide accurate, proven and objective evaluations using real life in-store scenarios as well as assessing verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning. They give you an opportunity to highlight how you would respond to relevant work scenarios, interpret written information, understand & calculate numerical data and solve problems in a logical way. We use digital interviews because they are fair, personalised and convenient. Every candidate will receive a similar set of questions; they give you the opportunity to highlight how you can make a difference in a more dynamic manner than other forms of interviews and you have the power to complete your interview wherever and whenever best suits you. What can I expect as part of the interview?
The interview process will involve meeting with a state recruiter, followed by a store manager for a face to face interview. We use behavioural event interviews where you will be asked to provide examples of how you have demonstrated competencies in your previous roles.
Will I be expected to provide referees or to undergo any background checks?
If you are successful following your interview you will be asked to provide two employment references. These should ideally be from managers/supervisors from your most recent employment. If you have limited work experience, we will accept character references. If you are offered a position, you will need to complete a background check.
