Additional support for customers under Melbourne COVID-19 detention directions

Unlimited standard national calls, 10GB bonus data

Vodafone has announced additional support initiatives for Vodafone customers currently living at Melbourne addresses under detention directions implemented by the Victorian Government to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Any Vodafone customer who is a current resident of one of the impacted addresses should call Vodafone on 1555 from their Vodafone mobile or 1300 650 410 if they need additional support.

For Vodafone customers at impacted addresses, we will apply:

  • 10GB of bonus data for prepaid and postpaid customers;
  • Unlimited standard national calls until 31 July 2020 (unless extended) for any customer who does not have this feature as part of their plan.

The company has also stopped suspension of services for unpaid bills for Vodafone customers in the following postcodes until 31 July, unless extended: 3012, 3021, 3031, 3032, 3038, 3042, 3046, 3047, 3051, 3055, 3060 and 3064.

Chief Commercial Customer Officer Ana Bordeianu said Vodafone was committed to supporting customers through challenging circumstances.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority has been keeping customers connected, and we’ve implemented these initiatives for impacted Vodafone customers in Melbourne to ensure they can keep in touch with the people and services that matter to them,” Ms Bordeianu said.

Ms Bordeianu said support remained available for all Vodafone customers in financial hardship due to COVID-19.

“For any Vodafone customer in financial hardship due COVID-19, we’re here to help with a range of options to support them,” she said.
