New Samsung 4G tablets offer a galaxy of possibilities
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Tab A 8.0 perfect for streaming on the go
Vodafone today announced it will be offering customers Samsung’s latest tablets, the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 4G and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 4G, on a range of data packed plans.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is available for a total of $54 per month ($24 device cost on Vodafone’s $30 Mobile Broadband plan over 24 months; total min cost $1,296) with 4GB of data to use in Australia. The Samsung Tab A 8.0 is available for a total of $42 per month ($12 device cost on the $30 Mobile Broadband plan over 24 months; total min cost $1,008) with 4GB of data for use in Australia.
Vodafone’s Director of Sales, Ben McIntosh, said that the company was excited to be offering Samsung’s state of the art tablets to Australians who are consuming more data than ever, with mobile data downloads doubling year on year, according to recent Australian Bureau of Statistic figures*.
“The impressive hardware specs of these two tablets combined with a 4G plan and coverage on Vodafone’s fast 4G network offer customers plenty of possibilities such as gaming, watching movies and television shows, browsing the internet and much more,” said Mr McIntosh.

The highly acclaimed Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, praised for its high performance and sleek design, boasts Samsung’s bright and vivid Super AMOLED screen technology, an improved Octa-Core processor and battery life of up to 12 hours, all in a slim 5.6mm design.
“The Galaxy Tab S2’s large and razor sharp screen is perfect for all of those Australians who are constantly using their mobile devices to stream content nowadays,” said Mr McIntosh.
“We already know that Samsung smartphones have brilliant screens, but with the Tab S2 you get that on a larger scale.
“Samsung has packed plenty into these tablets, yet the Tab S2 is only 5.6mm thick and weighs a mere 392 grams – around the same weight as a paperback novel – so it’s easy and convenient to carry around with you.”
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 4G
The compact Galaxy Tab A 8.0 possesses features such as long lasting battery life of up to 12 hours and access to apps including Microsoft Office for Android, Catch-up TV services and Samsung Kids Mode. All of this comes in a lightweight frame that is just 7.5mm thick and comes complete with a price tag that offers plenty of premium features for a budget friendly price.
“Vodafone is committed to offering a range of devices that will suit all budgets and needs. The Tab A has all the bells and whistles of a premium tablet without the premium price-tag,” said Mr McIntosh.
