Telstra text issue - impact to Vodafone customers
As a result of a fire at Telstra’s Chatswood exchange on Thursday 2 February, there was an issue with the exchange of text messages between Telstra customers and the customers of other providers, including Vodafone.
Between 1pm and 3.20pm on Thursday 2 February, if a Telstra customer sent you a text message or you sent a text to a Telstra customer, it may not have been delivered by Telstra, or it may have been delivered by Telstra to the wrong recipient.
We understand the issue affected texts only, not MMS or internet-based messages such as iMessage.
Customer privacy is of utmost importance to Vodafone and we will continue to seek information from Telstra.
