To celebrate Vodafone (more than) doubling its mobile network across Australia, we’re partnering with internationally acclaimed electronic music duo, Bag Raiders to throw a free live show in Sydney’s Martin Place on Thursday 30th January.
From 12pm to 2pm, fans will have the opportunity to dance and rave to the group’s festival anthems as Vodafone switches on its new supercharged network. The network expansion will boost our population coverage to 98.4 per cent – a win for millions of customers living, working and travelling in regional communities and holiday destinations across the country.
Signifying a huge jump from around 400,000 to over 1,000,000 square km, this network expansion has been made possible through an innovative network sharing arrangement.
Vodafone Group Executive, Kieren Cooney remarks, “This will be a significant upgrade for the millions of Australians who want great value and great regional mobile coverage where they live or when they travel to the destinations Australians love to visit.”
Jack Glass of Bag Raiders shares a similar enthusiasm: “We're excited to be performing all the hits in our hometown to celebrate Vodafone doubling its network.”
“Having good mobile coverage wherever you are is vital. When we’re touring, we rely so much on our phones to stay connected with friends and family, check up on our itineraries and posting to socials,” added bandmate, Chris Stracey.
We’ve listened to our customers, put in the leg work, and are excited to say – Vodafone is coming to town.
So, whether you’re a die-hard Bag Raiders fan, an existing customer, or a keen member of the public, come on down to Martin Place in Sydney, on January 30th from 12pm–2pm to celebrate over some good tunes.
Once implemented, our new regional network will cover 98.4% of the Australian population. You will immediately have access to nearly one million square kilometres of coverage, including 5G in areas where it is already available.
Once the regional network is implemented, our mobile customers will immediately have access to areas where 5G is already available and the 5G coverage will continue to grow as more sites are upgraded.
We do not have plans to increase mobile prices because of the regional network arrangement.
