Faster internet from September

From 17 September 2025 onwards, nbn^® is dialling up the speeds on its three highest tier plans. The upgrade is set to give eligible customers a faster and smoother home internet connection, getting Australia future-ready for tomorrow’s digital innovations.

What nbn^®plans are getting the speed increase?

These new, faster speeds will be available for Vodafone nbn^® customers on a Home Fast, Superfast or Ultrafast plan. This also includes existing mobile customers with a Speed Upgrade from Essential+. However, you will need a Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) connection to access these upgraded speeds.

I’m on an eligible plan. How do I access the higher speeds?

If you’re already on a Home Fast, Superfast or Ultrafast plan on an FTTP/HFC connection, you don’t need to do anything – you’ll get access to the accelerated speeds in September.

If you’re on an FTTP/HFC connection but have a Basic or Essential plan, or Essential+ without a Speed Upgrade, your speeds won’t change. To upgrade to a high-speed plan, check your address.
