And you can always stay connected to loved ones with unlimited standard national calls and texts. You don’t have access to any other services or additional data – they are barred. 

You could choose a month to month, no lock-in contract with a new phone on an interest free repayment period of 12, 24 or 36 months. If your Red Plan is cancelled, you will need to pay off your phone on your next bill. Alternatively, we have a 12 month SIM Only Cap Plan if you prefer to bring your own phone. T&C apply.

What is a Cap Plan and how is it different to other Vodafone postpaid plans?

Our Cap Plans are designed to ensure customers do not incur additional charges beyond the monthly plan fee. It works two ways: once you’ve used the included data you won’t have access to data until the next billing cycle to ensure you are not charged with $10/GB additional data. Also items that typically cost extra are completely barred and not available within this plan such as premium text, international roaming, international calls, Vodafone passes, data boosters or Add-ons. It’s all about giving our customers confidence and certainty with bills. The plan still comes with unlimited national calls and text so you will never lose connection to your friends, families and work colleagues.

What happens if I run out of my data?

You can still access the internet through Wi-Fi. Once your data inclusion is used, access to mobile data will be barred until your next billing cycle.

Can I make international calls or use roaming overseas?

No. If you need to make international calls or roam with your mobile, we have a great range of prepaid plans that includes international calls and the option of purchasing a roaming Add-on.

Can I share data from my Cap Plan with other plans on my account?

No. You can’t share data on your Cap Plan with other plans.

Can I get insurance for my device on this plan?

Whether you purchase a phone from Vodafone or bring your own device, you may be eligible to have your device insured by taking up Keep Talking or Keep Talking Plus. This is the only additional cost that is not barred from your service.

Cap SIM Only 12 Month Plans
For personal use by approved customers only. Minimum monthly spend is $35 ($35 Cap SIMO Plan) and $45 ($45 Cap SIMO Plan). On this plan, you can only use a set amount of data in Oz, make standard national calls and send standard national & international TXT. All other services (including international calls, Premium Services, 1223 &1225 directory services, 123 Ask-us-Anything, International Roaming, content purchases and call) will be barred. Once data inclusion is used, access to data will be cut off entirely until your next billing cycle (you may continue making standard calls and text within Australia). Early Exit Fee: $17.50 ($35 Cap SIMO Plan) OR $22.50 ($45 Cap SIMO Plan) X months left on contract applies. Data included in these plans is not shareable with any other plan on your account and vice versa. Inclusions expire after 1 month. You must supply your own handset in order to sign up to one of these plans (you cannot have an MPP with this plan). Services subject to capabilities, network limitations & customer location.

Red Cap Plans
For personal use by approved customers only. Minimum monthly spend is $35 ($35 Cap Red Plan) and $45 ($45 Cap Red Plan). Cap Red Plans are only available if you simultaneously purchase a phone from us under a Mobile Payment Plan (“MPP”) of 12, 24 or 36 months duration. On this plan, you can only use a set amount of data in Oz, make standard national calls and send standard national & international TXT. All other services (including international calls, Premium Services, 1223 &1225 directory services, 123 Ask-us-Anything, International Roaming, content purchases and call) will be barred. Once data inclusion is used, access to mobile data will be cut off entirely until your next billing cycle (you may continue making standard calls and text within Australia. To use the internet, you’ll need to connect to WiFi). Data included in these plans is not shareable with any other plan on your account and vice versa. Min 1 month connection. Inclusions expire after 1 month. Total minimum cost is one month of your plan fees plus 100% of the MPP instalments of your chosen device. There are no Early Exit Fees on Cap Red Plans but if you cancel, your MPP will also auto cancel and 100% of your remaining installments will be applied to your next bill. Recurring monthly plan fee charged until the end of the month in which you cancel. Services subject to capabilities, network limitations & customer location.

Bundle & Save
Bundle & Save discounts are available to (a) new customers who connect two or more Eligible Plans onthe same billing account; OR (b) existing customers with an Eligible Plan who: add one or more eligible services to their billing account or who upgrade or switch an ineligible Plan to an Eligible Plan; OR (c) existing customers who have two Eligible Plans and upgrade or change one of those Eligible Plan to access the Bundle and Save discounts.

Eligible Plans are: All voice plans of $30 and above released on or after July 25 2018 (excluding Assured Plan, Business Flex and Business Advance Plans); All MBB Plans of $30 and above released on or after June 26 2018;and all nbn™Plans (excluding the Essential nbn™Plan). Customers will receive a percentage discount off each Eligible Plan’s access fees (5% off two plans, 10% off three plans, 15% off four plans or 20% off five or more plans) when active on a single billing account. Note MPP, APP or Add-On fees are not discounted.

The Bundle & Save discount is calculated from the first full bill cycle and updated monthly as eligible services are added or removed. Any second service discounts are replaced by the applicable Bundle & Save discount.If early exit fees apply to anEligible Plan they are calculated using the undiscounted amount x months remaining. Personal use only. Business customers must have an ABN/ACN. Bonus data only available to approved new and upgrading customers who sign up to a Vodafone $35 Red Plan or Red Cap Plan (13GB bonus), Vodafone $45 Red or Red Cap Plan (35GB bonus), Vodafone $60 Red or Red Plus Plan (60GB bonus) or Vodafone $80 Red Plus Plan (70GB bonus).
