What do I need to do before bringing my phone in store?

Here are some things to do before bringing your phone in store:

  • Back up your contacts and any important files you don’t want to lose, including photos, videos, notes, calendar dates and messages.
  • Remove your SIM and any memory cards inserted into the phone. To ensure your personal information remains secure, any SIM or memory cards found in returned devices are destroyed.
  • If you have an iPhone, it’s important that you switch off Find My iPhone.
  • If you have an Android phone, make sure you’ve disabled any security lock settings on your phone. These settings can remotely lock your phone to protect your personal information if you lose it.
How do I know if my phone is in Good Working Order?

The phone must meet the below conditions to be in Good Working Order.

  • The phone needs to be turned on and off.
  • The screen must be undamaged without any fading, cracks or bleeding.
  • The phone has no major cosmetic damage to the exterior.
  • Where applicable, the battery and back cover must be included.
  • The phone must not be network blocked, reported as stolen or counterfeit.
  • On iPhones, the iCloud account can’t be locked.

Can I get my new phone now and trade-in my old phone later?

Yes. You can sign-up or upgrade to a new phone and trade-in your old device when you’re ready. We suggest you trade-in as soon as possible as prices can change frequently.

Red Plan
Red Plans are only available if you simultaneously purchase a phone from Vodafone under a MPP of 12, 24 or 36 months duration (‘Commitment Period’). The outright price of your chosen device (as set by Vodafone at the time of purchase) will be spread in equal instalments over your MPP Commitment Period. Once selected, this commitment period is fixed (unless you elect to pay your total remaining balance in full in one instalment). Red Plan min monthly spend is 1 month plan fees. Must connect for minimum one month. Total min cost is 1 month plan fees plus 100% of the RRP of your chosen device. There is no Red Plan Early Exit Fee, however, if you choose to cancel your Red Plan, 100% of the remaining MPP instalments will be applied to your next bill (you cannot have an MPP without an active Red Plan).
