Look no further for your next binge watch, because the new Lost in Space reboot looks too good to be true. What better time to find out more about our awesome new offer with Netflix and Vodafone nbnTM! Vodafone and Netflix terms apply.

Based on the original series from the 1960s, Lost in Space takes the premise of the sci-fi classic and gives it a fresh take with new adventures in this Netflix Original series.

For those who are new to the franchise, Lost in Space is about the Robinsons, a family of pioneering space colonists whose spaceship goes off-course on their way to Alpha Centauri, their new home away from Earth. They land on an unknown planet, lightyears from their original destination, and battle all sorts of obstacles in their attempt to survive and eventually leave the planet.

Like the original, the show centres around the core characters of Will, Penny, Judy, Maureen and John Robinson, with a couple of outsiders that find themselves along for the ride – Dr Smith and Don West. The family are leaving Earth due to the devastating effects of climate change and overcrowding, and had passed a vigorous screening test to make it out. Now they must face new challenges, on an alien-inhabited planet with limited resources, and face their own personal demons.

However, unlike the original, critics are saying the reboot of Lost in Space is all about longer-form storytelling – the series is less about shorter ‘within episode’ storylines and more about an overarching plot throughout the season. The show is also set 30 years in the future (just close enough for us to imagine!)

Featuring stunning graphics and a strong cast, the series is a must-watch, especially for fans of sci-fi. The series is written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold, The Last Witch Hunter), and Zack Estrin (Prison Break) serves as showrunner.
