With its strong sporting culture, thriving arts scene, and the beloved trams, it’s no surprise that Melbourne just won the world’s most liveable city for the seventh time in a row. The Economist ranks 140 cities every year using the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Liveability Index, and Melbourne came out on top with a score of 97.5 out of 100.

But of course, one thing Melbourne is known best for is its perennial café and small bar scene. So for those who are thinking of visiting (or locals in search of a new brekkie spot), where should you go to Instagram your food?

Manchester Press, Melbourne CBD

If you haven’t visited a laneway café in the CBD, have you really even been to Melbourne? Manchester Press makes a killer bagel, and is known for its innovative creations.

Naughty Boy Café, Carlton North

Love treating yourself? You may have just found your dessert heaven. Naughty, but oh so nice!

Matcha Mylkbar, St Kilda

The Matcha revolution is taking over – so much so that Australia’s first matcha café has arrived in Melbourne. The good news: it’s beautiful!
