My real passion is photography. I am inspired most when I’m outdoors exploring, whether it be local spots or remote islands. That essence of adventure makes me feel alive and inspires me to document each moment. The fact that I get to share my experiences with an online community is a major bonus.
It all started at the age of 14, when I was introduced to Instagram by my sister. I thought it was pretty cool so I joined and started taking random pictures and thought “Hey, this is pretty fun”. After a few months of taking photos and posting them online, I realised that I was slowly developing a passion for capturing ‘moments’, so I started to pursue photography more, and before I knew it, photography became my side gig.
I rely heavily on mobile technology as I take, edit, then post all my photos on my phone. I’ve been able to share many breathtaking moments I’ve witnessed within seconds. When I’m out adventuring, I always keep my followers up to date with apps like Snapchat and Instagram, so it’s essential that I’m always connected, particularly when I’m out exploring remote locations.
If I had to give advice to my younger self, it would be to always put your passion first. There have been times when I let minor things, such as popularity or negative words get the best of me, but at the end of the day, my passion has always found its way back to the center of my focus.
I must say I have quite a few exciting goals and plans that I’ve set for the future, but if I had to share what’s next, traveling more often would definitely top the list! With all that roaming, I plan to be sharing as much content as I can on the go, so having a fast and reliable network to post through puts the world at my fingertips.
