It wasn’t too long ago that you could only be contacted on your home or work phone. That quickly became a thing of the past with the introduction of mobile phones, and Aussies adjusted to being contactable anytime and anywhere.

Fast forward to 2017 and we’ve almost reached smartphone saturation point – there are more ways to communicate than ever before.

Today marks our next step in the communication evolution with the introduction of Vodafone NumberSync™.

So what is Vodafone NumberSync™?

It’s a subscription service that allows you to connect your Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) to the Vodafone mobile network, using the same mobile number and sharing in the inclusions of your primary eligible and compatible iPhone and plan.

You can then use your smart watch to make and receive calls or texts and use mobile data for your favourite things like streaming music, without even having your phone with you. The best part is that you can do all of this while using the same phone number – and Vodafone account – as the SIM in your mobile phone.

With Vodafone NumberSync™, you’ll be able to stay connected out in the surf, on the golf course, in the pool, on the treadmill or while simply mowing the lawn.

Who can get it?

Anyone on a personal or business, post-paid Vodafone plan with an iPhone 6 or later with iOS 11.2 or later paired with an Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) can get Vodafone NumberSync™.

We’ve all got that friend, colleague or family member that fails to answer on the first call or sends you straight to voicemail. For $60 a year ($5 per month), Vodafone NumberSync™ is a great addition to your communications ecosystem.

What’s different about Vodafone NumberSync™?

Simplicity. We’ve taken our time to make sure that you have a pleasant experience from sign up, right through to the NumberSync activation on your smart watch. The whole process takes place in a digital environment, so there should be no need to spend time on the phone to customer service.

The wearable category has been steadily growing since the launch of the first smart watch back in 2014. Now with cellular capability in devices we think wearables will truly hit mainstream.
