Automatic app updates on your device

This support article explains how to manage automatic app updates on your device.

In your device settings, you can choose to automatically download app updates when they become available or only when you’re connected to Wi-Fi or to download and install them manually.

To make sure you’re always using the most recent version of the My Vodafone app, we recommend turning on automatic updates.

iPhone and iPad

To manage automatic app updates on your iPhone or iPad device:

  1. Go to your device 'Settings'
  2. Tap 'App Store' and sign in with your Apple ID if prompted
  3. Toggle on ‘App Updates’ to turn on automatic app updates

Android

To manage automatic app updates on your Android device:

  1. Tap ‘Play Store’
  2. Tap the top-left menu icon
  3. Tap ‘Settings’
  4. Tap ‘Auto-update apps’
  5. Select either ‘Do not auto-update apps’ or ‘Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only’

Windows Phone

To manage automatic app updates on your Windows Phone:

  1. Go to your apps
  2. Tap ‘Settings’
  3. Tap ‘Applications’
  4. Tap ‘Store’
  5. Select either ‘Update apps automatically’ or ‘Only get updates over WiFi’
