Pausing your plan.

If you choose to pause your plan you will be migrated to the $10 Holding Plan. You can stay on this plan for up to 12 months, however it's only available once per service per year. E.g. If you pause your plan in September 2020, then move back to your original plan in November 2020, you are unable to pause your plan again until September 2021.

How to pause your plan.

You can pause your plan by calling 1555 from your Vodafone phone or 1300 650 410 from any phone.

You can also pause your plan from overseas by calling +61 426 320 000.

You can pause your plan through Customer care or in-store.

Can I use my plan whilst it is paused?

This plan is not intended for use, if you use your plan for at least 2 days in a consecutive 7 day period, or stay on this plan for over 12 months, we will contact you and your service will be reactivated and you’ll automatically be moved to the closest in market plan to your original inclusions and price will be advised by Vodafone upon reactivation.

How much does it cost to pause my plan?

The fee to pause your plan is $10 per billing cycle (30 days).

If you also have a contracted Data Add-on, an additional $5 per 30 days will apply.

You’ll continue to be charged for a Mobile Payment Plan, Accessories Payment Plan or insurance.

Can I pause my plan if my account is overdue?

No. You need to settle your overdue account before we can pause your plan.

Can I pause my plan if I’m on Business Flex?

Yes. You’ll be charged 50% of your plan’s minimum monthly spend per 30 days. The 50% charge also applies to other contracted services on the account that need to be paused, such as Data Add-ons.

Can I pause my plan if my data is being shared with other plans?

Yes. However while your plan is paused, the data on your plan won’t be shared with other plans.

Can I lift the pause early?

To lift the pause early, call us on 1555 from your Vodafone phone or 1300 650 410 from any phone.

How long can I pause my plan for if I’m in the military or armed services?

If you’re serving in the armed services overseas, your plan can be paused for up to 12 months.

To submit a request, you or your power of attorney should fax written authorisation to our customer care team on 1300 308 869. You should state that the request is for Armed Services Personal and you should include your account PIN, and the start and end date for the suspension.
