Usage alerts for your prepaid service
This support article will give you key information on when we'll send balance and expiry alerts about your prepaid service.
You can also check your prepaid balance at any time:
- Through My Vodafone.
- By calling 1512 from your Vodafone phone.
Recharge expiry alerts
We’ll send you an SMS alert:
- 3 days before your recharge expires.
- Within 24 hours of your recharge expiring.
We’ll send you an SMS when your recharge or Add-on falls below the following balances. These text messages will be sent from SYS-ALERT.

Whether you’ll get usage alerts for your data only service is dependent on your device. iPads and some other tablets can’t receive text messages and won’t receive the notifications. For more information, check out our support page on accessing text messages from your mobile broadband device.
