When will we run a credit check?

When you apply for a phone, tablet or Mobile Broadband plan with Vodafone, we’ll run a credit check before we can approve your connection. Credit checks are based on information listed in your credit file as well as our own credit policies and criteria.

What happens if my credit check is declined?

If your credit check is declined, you won’t be able to connect a new service with us on a plan. However, you’ll still able to join us on a prepaid service.

Why would my credit check be declined?

We’re unable to provide the reason why a credit check has been declined. You can obtain a copy of your credit file from Equifax or Dun & Bradstreet to check if there’s anything which may be affecting your credit applications.
