Your phone should only deliver the good kind of surprises. So, on eligible plans, we’ll let you know when you’ve almost reached your monthly limit. Then, if you go over, we’ll let you know when your usage charges are getting high. No bill shock, no worries.
Once you’ve activated Vodafone Alerts, during the month we’ll send you a TXT when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of your inclusions. (That’s for data, as well as Included Value.)
We’ll also send you a TXT if you go over your plan’s inclusions by $50 or $100 and then for every $100 after that.
Exactly the same as a phone plan – but if you’re eligible, and you get your Vodafone bill by email, we'll email your alert. If you don't receive a Vodafone email bill, we'll leave a message on your dashboard.
How do I get it?
Most plans already have Vodafone Alerts, so if you’ve just signed up, you don’t need to do a thing. If you’ve been with us for a while, check My Vodafone to see if you have Vodafone Alerts.
Your account will automatically use the Add-on allowance first. Once that’s been used, we’ll let you know when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of your plan’s included allowance.
You can opt-out of receiving Vodafone Alerts within My Vodafone. Just click on ‘Vodafone Alerts’ and you’ll be able to opt-out or back in.
Accounts with multiple services can opt-out of updates for one or more services.
Unfortunately no, but we’ll be as quick as possible. There may be a delay of up to 18 hours so use Vodafone Alerts to give you a guide on where you’re at.
If you have $5 Roaming – which lets you use your domestic plan allowance for $5 extra per day – you’ll receive Vodafone Alerts just like when you’re at home.
If you’re not using $5 Roaming, usage will be charged outside of your plan allowance. We’ll let you know when these charges hit $50, $100 and then every $100 after that. You can still track your usage by logging into My Vodafone. Please note that, when roaming, usage can take up to 48 hours to appear in My Vodafone.
We want you to have the most up-to-date information about your usage when you’re travelling overseas, so don’t be surprised if you get a late night or early morning TXT from us letting you know where your usage is at.
Yes, each service will receive its own Vodafone Alerts. If you want to, you can opt-out of updates for one or more services through My Vodafone under Vodafone Alerts, or by calling customer care on 1555.
