To help you control your spend, we’re going to let you know as you approach your plan’s monthly limit. It’s just one less thing to worry about.

How it works

Phone plan:
During the month, we’ll give you a heads up via TXT when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of both your data and call & TXT credit.

Mobile broadband:
It’s the same sort of deal – we’ll let you know when you’ve used 50%, 85% and 100% of your plan’s monthly data allowance, but if you get your Vodafone bill by email we'll email your alert, if you don't we'll send a TXT to your dashboard. 

How do I get it?
Vodafone Alerts is now available on selected plans. If you’ve just signed up to a new plan, you don’t need to do a thing. Vodafone Alerts are automatically added for everyone connecting to a new postpaid plan. If you’ve been with us for a while, check My Vodafone to see if Vodafone Alerts is available on your plan. If it’s not, don’t worry, you can use My Vodafone to stay on top of your balance.


What if I have purchased a Data Add-on for my plan?
Your account will automatically use the Add-on allowance first. Once that’s been used, we’ll let you know when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of your plan’s included allowance.

What if I don’t want to receive Vodafone Alerts anymore?
There are a few ways to do this:

  • Opt-out via My Vodafone under Vodafone Alerts;
  • Call customer care on 1555 (free from a Vodafone mobile); or 
  • Call 1300 650 410 from a landline (local call rates apply) or other mobile (rate will depend on that provider) 

Accounts with multiple services can opt-out of updates for one or more services.

Are Vodafone Alerts provided in real time?
Unfortunately no, but we’ll be as quick as possible.  At times there may be a delay of up to 18 hours so use Vodafone Alerts to give you a guide on where you’re at. 

What time are Vodafone Alerts sent?
Everyone likes a good night's sleep so we'll only send you the TXTs between 7am & 10pm. You can also always check where you're at by logging into My Vodafone.

What if I have purchased a Talk International Add-on for my plan?
Vodafone Alerts refer to your plan’s allowance only, not your Talk International Add-on. You can check the usage of your Talk International Add-on at My Vodafone.

What if I travel overseas? Will I still receive updates?
If you are on a Red plan and opt into Red Roaming which lets you use your domestic plan allowance for $5 extra per day you will receive your normal Vodafone Alerts.

If you do not have Red Roaming and want to use the internet on your phone while overseas, we recommend you review the different pricing options available at www.vodafone.com.au/roaming , as no Vodafone alerts will be sent. You can keep track of you usage by calling us for free from your Vodafone mobile on +61 414 141 414 or by logging into MyVodafone. Please note when roaming usage can take up to 48 hours to appear in MyVodafone.

We want to ensure that you have the most up to date information about your usage when travelling overseas and crossing time zones, please don’t be surprised if you get a late night or early morning TXT from us letting you know where your usage is at.

What if I have multiple services on my account? Will I receive updates on all of them?
Yes, each service will receive its own Vodafone Alerts. If you want to, you can opt-out of updates for one or more services through My Vodafone under Vodafone Alerts, or by calling customer care on 1555.
