Swap & Go for your phone, tablet or wearable.

With Vodafone Swap & Go, you can swap your mobile phone, tablet or wearable for any reason. We can provide you with a replacement device before you return the old device. For customers with Apple devices, we’ll let you know if you’re eligible to fulfil your request at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider. Vodafone Swap & Go doesn’t cover lost or stolen devices.

How to sign up to Vodafone Swap & Go.

You can sign up to Vodafone Swap & Go by heading into a Vodafone store, giving us a call on 1300 650 410 or by completing the form below.

Eligibility criteria apply, for example you need to sign up to Vodafone Swap & Go within 60 days of receiving your new device from Vodafone. If you’ve already signed up to AppleCare, you will not be eligible for Swap & Go.

How do I swap my device?

It’s easy to swap your device. Log a swap request online for all devices (including Apple) and once we verify your entitlement to a swap, we will either send you a replacement or for Apple devices, let you know if you’re eligible to go to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider to fulfil your service request.

 

Here are the steps.

Head to our online portal.

Submit your request to swap your device online.

Receive swapped device and return envelope

We’ll send you a comparable replacement device and a return envelope for your old device, unless we’ve advised you’re eligible to fulfil your request at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider.

Backup all data on your old device

Make sure all your data has been backed up. All personal data, including photos, videos and any other files will be wiped from the device.

Return old device

Using the return envelope, send us your old device, unless we’ve advised you’re eligible to fulfil your request at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider. An additional non-return fee may apply if your old device isn’t returned within 14 days of receiving your replacement.

How do I swap my screen?

It’s easy to swap your screen. Log a swap request online for all devices (including Apple) and once we verify your entitlement to a swap, we will either send you a replacement or for Apple devices, let you know if you’re eligible to go to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider to fulfil your service request.

Here are the steps for a Screen Swap.

Head to our online portal

Submit your request to swap your screen online.

Backup all data on your device

Make sure all your data has been backed up. All personal data, including photos, videos and any other files will be wiped from the device. 

Book an appointment or mail in the device

Book an appointment to take your device to an authorised repairer (Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider for Apple devices), arrange for the authorised repairer to come to you using WeFix or mail the device to us. 

Head to your appointment, have WeFix come to you or receive the device back from us

The authorised repairer will swap your screen in person or we’ll mail the device back to you.

Can I cancel Swap & Go at any time?

Yes, you can cancel Swap & Go at any time by calling us on 1300 650 410. You’ll continue to be charged monthly until you cancel.

What device will I receive as a swap?

You will receive the closest equivalent model available in Australia of the device you signed up to Swap & Go with. It may be refurbished or contain refurbished parts and it won’t necessarily be the same colour or model as your existing device.

How does the 12-month rolling period work?

It’s essentially the 12-month period before the date you make a swap request. When you make a swap request, we’ll check the 12-month period immediately before the date of your swap request to see whether you’ve already received your permitted number of swaps for that rolling 12-month period.

Once your swap request limit has been reached in any 12-month rolling period you will not be eligible to make another request until the end of that 12-month rolling period. 

What’s the difference between Swap & Go and warranty?

With Swap & Go, you can swap your device for any reason.

If your device has a failure or is faulty, you may also have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and/or the warranty for your device. Swap & Go doesn’t change those rights and operates alongside, and in addition to, them.

If your device has a failure or fault, you can choose whether to contact us about your Australian Consumer Law or warranty rights or make a swap request. If you do intend to claim under your Australian Consumer Law or warranty rights, make sure you contact us before making a swap request, as we will need to assess your device. If you swap your device under Swap & Go, your replacement device will be covered by an additional warranty. More details are available in the Swap & Go Terms & Conditions.
