No. If you signed up to a Red or SIM Only Modem plan after 2 July 2020, you won’t be able to share your data with any other plans on your account.
Using a modem or tablet, mobile broadband is a wireless connection to the internet via a mobile network. Vodafone uses the same network for mobile phones, tablets and mobile broadband modems.
If you signed up to a Red or SIM Only Modem plan after 2 July 2020, you won’t be able to access $5 Roaming.
If you signed up to a Mobile Broadband plan after 12 April 2017, $5 Roaming will be available and already switched on for you.
If you signed up to an eligible Mobile Broadband plan between 31 August 2016 and 12 April 2017, you’ll need to activate $5 Roaming through My Vodafone.
If you signed up to a Tablet or Data Plan, $5 Roaming is available and already switched on for you.
Red Modem Plans
Modem Plans are only available if you simultaneously purchase a modem from Vodafone under a Mobile Payment Plan (‘MPP’) of 12, 24 or 36 months duration (“Commitment Period”). For personal use by approved customers only. Inclusions expire after 1 month unless otherwise stated.
Minimum monthly spend is $20. Must connect for minimum one month. Total minimum cost is one month of your plan fees plus 100% of the MPP instalments of your chosen device. There is no Early Exit Fee on your Modem Plan, however, if you choose to cancel your Modem Plan, your MPP will also auto cancel and 100% of the remaining device instalments will be applied to your next bill. Recurring monthly plan fee charged until the end of the month in which you cancel.
If monthly data allowance exceeded additional data is automatically added for $10 per 10GB ($0.001/MB).
Any unused Additional Data will be rolled over for one billing month. After this it will expire. Included Data does not rollover and expires after 1 month. Included data only for use in Australia on Vodafone’s network.
Sharing
If you have more than one Vodafone plan that supports sharing on your billing account, the data allowances on those services will automatically combine into one pool which will be shared between eligible users (data sharing is only available on up to 10 services, a maximum of 5 of which can be voice plans). Any existing international calling allowances on your account are not shareable with this plan. You can find out which plans support sharing or you can opt-out of sharing altogether at any time by calling 1555.
Additional Data - $10 per 10GB
If monthly data allowance exceeded additional data is automatically added for $10 per 10GB ($0.001/MB). Any unused Additional Data will be rolled over for one billing month. After this it will expire. Included Data does not rollover and expires after 1 month. Included data only for use in Australia on Vodafone’s network.
Bundle & Save
Bundle & Save discounts are available to (a) new customers who connect two or more Eligible Plans on the same billing account; OR (b) existing customers with an Eligible Plan who: add one or more eligible services to their billing account or who upgrade or switch an ineligible Plan to an Eligible Plan; OR (c) existing customers who have two Eligible Plans.
Eligible Plans are: All voice plans of $30 and above released on or after July 25 2018 (excluding Assured Plans); Tablet Plans of $30 and above released on or after June 27 2018, Modem Plans of $20 and above released on or after July 2 2020; nbn™ Plans of $65 and above; and all Home Wireless Plans. Excludes Business Flex. Customers will receive a percentage discount off each Eligible Plan’s access fees (5% off two plans, 10% off three plans, 15% off four plans or 20% off five or more plans) when active on a single billing account. Note MPP, APP or Add-On fees are not discounted.
The Bundle & Save discount is calculated from the first full bill cycle and updated monthly as eligible services are added or removed. Any second service discounts are replaced by the applicable Bundle & Save discount. If early exit fees apply to an Eligible Plan they are calculated using the undiscounted amount x months remaining. If you’re a new customer signing up to a plan and you’re not satisfied with our network within the first 30 days, you can leave us. We’ll even refund any monthly plan fees or device instalments that you’ve paid - just return your device in its original packaging within 10 days of your claim. You’ll only have to pay for usage charges or charges for services not included in your plan, which were incurred up to when your cancellation is finalised.
