Vodafone understands that access to nbn™ is now more important than ever.

In partnership with NBN Co, Vodafone will be providing education assistance to those in need. We’re offering low-income family households with school-age children access to the nbn™ network on our Essential nbn™ BYO Plan for $0/month until 30/09/20 - so they can have access to online education at home.

The Essential nbn™ BYO Plan comes with unlimited data on nbn™ 25 with a Typical Evening Speed of 22Mbps (7-11pm).

How can I check if I’m eligible for nbn™ Education Assistance?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be receiving the Jobseeker or Family Tax Benefit Part A or B benefits
  • Have at least one school-age child living in your household
  • Not had an nbn™ service active at your address with any provider since March 1 2020

What if I don’t have a modem?

You’ll need a compatible modem to access our Essential nbn™ BYO Plan. If you already have a modem, you can check out our modem compatibility requirements here.

If you don’t have a modem, you can purchase a low-cost compatible modem from Kogan.

For personal use only. Access to Vodafone nbn25 (Essential nbn BYO plan) from date of sign up until 30 September 2020 (unless extended) (‘Offer’) and can apply from 20 May 2020. Compatible modem required. To determine if your modem is compatible visit https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/nbn/modem. Offer available for new or existing customers that have not yet connected to the nbn, have a member of the household receiving the JobSeeker payment or Family Tax Benefit Part A or Part B; and have a School Aged Child living at the same address. Applications for this offer can be made via https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/notify/financial-hardship. If the Offer is approved, Vodafone will arrange connection of an nbn service at your address with NBNCo. You can request to cancel this service at any time before 30 September 2020 without penalty. Vodafone will contact you before 30 September 2020 where you can choose to remain connected to your nbn25 plan, select an alternative Vodafone nbn plan or Vodafone will cancel this service for you. Essential nbn™ BYO Plan

For personal use by approved customers only. You must supply your own Compatible Modem in order to sign up to this plan – you cannot purchase a modem from Vodafone on instalments or out-right with this plan. Subject to service qualification check. Vodafone nbn™ is a data-only service and is not compatible with your home phone line service meaning you may no longer be able to use your landline (or existing phone number) for calls after you sign-up. Vodafone nbn™ service may also impact or interfere with existing technology, devices or services at your premises including medical devices, alarms, eftpos machines, lift emergency phones and some email or fax services. You cannot share the data between your Vodafone nbn™ plan and your Vodafone postpaid mobile plan and vice versa. You can find out which plans support sharing or you can opt-out of sharing altogether at any time by calling 1555. Additional fees may apply for nbn™ installation or appointments.

Minimum monthly spend is $0. You must connect for a minimum of one month. Recurring monthly plan fees are charged until the end of the month in which you notify that you wish to cancel. You will be charged for using your plan from the point of nbn™ activation at your premises.

Total minimum cost excludes any additional costs for call outs when there is a missed appointment or where no fault is found or the $300 New Development Charge that is triggered when you live in a new development.
