4G Home Wireless Broadband Plans

Our 4G Home Wireless Broadband Plans are great for connecting the devices you use at home to our 4G network. You’ll get heaps of Included Data, and then you can use data at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps. Speeds are variable, and your service may be subject to data de-prioritisation during times of congestion and affected by factors such as number of devices connected to modem and placement of modem in your residence. This could mean that during peak periods you experience slower speeds than other Vodafone services using our 4G network. 

You can get our 4G Home Wireless Broadband Plans in selected areas in Australia at approved addresses only. Call us on 1300 100 515 or head in store where one of our team will check whether your home address is eligible and help you sign up. If your home address is eligible, there’s no installation required - so you’ll be instantly connected to the internet once you set up your modem.

With 1.5Mbps you can stream music and standard definition video, make a video call, browse the internet and catch up on social media, however content may be slower to load and is not suitable for high definition video or high speed applications. What happens if I move house?

4G Home Wireless Broadband plans are only for use at your approved home address and may no longer work if you move house. Give us a call if you move house, so we can discuss your options.

Terms and conditions

4G Home Wireless Broadband Plans

4G Home Wireless Broadband Plan (“Plan”) available only (i) to approved customers, and (ii) for personal use at an approved service address (‘Approved Address’). Plan only available if you simultaneously purchase the Huawei WiFi Cube 2 4G (‘Modem’) from Vodafone under a Mobile Payment Plan (‘MPP’) of 36 months duration (“Commitment Period”). Plan can only be used with the Modem. Inclusions expire after 1 month unless otherwise stated. Minimum monthly spend is $55. Total minimum cost is one-month plan fees plus 100% of the MPP instalments of your Modem minus one month of loyalty discount. No Early Exit Fee if you choose to cancel your Plan, but your MPP will also auto cancel and 100% of the remaining device instalments will be applied to your next bill. Recurring monthly plan fee charged until the end of the month in which you cancel.

The Loyalty Discount listed above is available for the modem/plan combination shown only and is not a permanent offer – all Loyalty Discounts are subject to continual change. You can only have one Loyalty Discount at any one time. If you upgrade or change plans within 4G Home Wireless Broadband, your Loyalty Discount may change or drop off. If you add an MPP at RRP over a tenure but without a plan, you will not receive a loyalty discount. Once purchased, your Loyalty Discount will be applied to your bill for the length of your chosen MPP commitment period (i.e. if your MPP is 24 months, you will receive the discount for 24 months). After your MPP has ended, your Loyalty Discount will also end and min monthly spend will revert to the full, undiscounted plan amount.

The Modem can operate with a maximum of 64 compatible Wi-Fi enabled devices at any one time.

The Plan uses our 4G Vodafone Network and may be subject to data de-prioritisation. Data de-prioritisation means that some data traffic will receive less priority over other traffic on the Vodafone Network. During peak periods or during congestion, we may manage the Vodafone Network by de-prioritising both your Included Data and your data at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps. This could mean that during periods of congestion you may experience slower speeds than 1.5Mbps, and the speeds experienced may be different to the speeds experienced using our other services.

All data for use in Australia within the Vodafone Network coverage area. Service subject to 4G coverage availability. Plan includes an “Included Data” allowance (which is data at the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to you, depending on your device, the time and place you are using data and de-prioritisation) which will be used first; thereafter data is available at speeds of up to 1.5mbps until your next billing month. Actual speeds you reach will continually vary depending on many factors such as de-prioritisation, network congestion, device capabilities, location, and network coverage. To find out what 1.5Mbps means for you, go to our 4G Home Wireless Broadband Plans page. Fair Use Policy applies. Plan is not eligible for roaming. You cannot share the data between your Plan and your Vodafone postpaid mobile plan and vice versa. You can find out which plans support sharing or you can opt-out of sharing altogether at any time by calling 1555. Plan is for use at your Approved Address only, and may no longer work if you move to another location. You will need to contact us to check service and network availability at the new location and notify us if you wish to set up your service at your new location.

You may change to a higher or lower Plan by calling Customer Care. You can change to a higher Plan during your bill cycle, by purchasing an Included Data Booster. If you change to a lower value Plan during your bill cycle, the charge for your new Plan and associated Included Data will begin from your next monthly billing cycle only. A change of Plan to both a higher or lower value Plan at end of your billing cycle, will begin from the start of your next monthly billing cycle.

Included Data Booster

Only available to customers who are connected to a 4G Home Wireless Broadband Plan (“Plan”). Included Data Booster (“Booster”) expires at the end of the billing cycle in which you purchase it - any unused allowance will be forfeited after this. Cost is $10. Booster will begin immediately, and you will receive either 100GB when rate plan changing from the $69 Home Wireless plan to the $65 4G Home Wireless Broadband plan or 200GB for all other upward rate plan changes between 4G Home Wireless Broadband plans. For example, if you are on a $55 Plan and moving to the $65 Plan, you will receive an additional 200GB of Included Data to use for the remainder of that bill cycle, and you will be charged $10 plus $65 on your next bill. When you purchase a Booster you will be automatically provisioned for the selected higher value 4G Home Wireless Broadband Plan going forward from the next bill cycle. Booster includes an additional allowance of Included Data (which is data at the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to you, depending on your device, the time and place you are using data and de-prioritisation). Once the Booster is exhausted, further data will be available at no charge at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps (to find out what 1.5Mbps means for you, go to our 4G Home Wireless Broadband Plans page), unless you purchase another Booster. Booster is not recurring – it is purchased on a one-off basis and all inclusions will expire at the end of the billing month in which it is purchased. If you do not use all your Included Data in the billing month in which you purchase your Booster, any remaining allowance is forfeited, is not refundable and cannot be carried over. You can use the Included Data allowance of the Booster in Australia only, and it is not eligible for roaming or sharing. You may purchase more than one Booster within the same billing cycle. If your Plan is cancelled, any active Booster will also be cancelled.

Our 30 Day Network Satisfaction Guarantee.

If you’re a new customer signing up to a plan and you’re not satisfied with our network within the first 30 days, you can leave us. We’ll even refund any monthly plan fees or device instalments that you’ve paid - just return your device in its original packaging within 10 days of your claim. You’ll only have to pay for usage charges or charges for services not included in your plan, which were incurred up to when your cancellation is finalised. Only up to 9 connections for business customers. T&C apply.

Max Speed and infinite data explained

Once you’ve used your Max Speed data, you can use infinite data at speeds of up to 2Mbps, 10Mbps or 25Mbps depending on your chosen plan.

Max Speed is the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to your phone at the time and place you’re using data. You can share Max Speed data with other Vodafone Infinite Plans and Plus Plans.

Infinite data

Here’s what you can do at speeds of 2Mbps, 10Mbps or 25Mbps. However infinite data speeds are “up to” speeds - therefore your experience will continually vary depending on many factors such as device capabilities, location, network congestion and network coverage.

Changing or upgrading

If you have several plans with us, when you change or upgrade your plans so that they’re all eligible, you’ll receive a Bundle & Save discount on all eligible plans on your account.
