Increased network capacity
5G is capable of keeping more people connected online at the same time.
Even faster speed
5G allows mobile network speeds to be faster than ever, which can contribute to higher streaming, faster gaming and more real-time connectivity.
Lower network latency
5G has the potential to decrease the time it takes for connected devices to communicate with each other across the network.
Our team will continue to support you on our best ever 4G network which will keep you connected while we roll out 5G across major cities.
And although 5G might not be available in your area yet, upgrading to a 5G approved device will still enable you to connect to our existing 4G/3G networks plus allow you to connect to our 5G network once it’s ready. Actual speeds may vary due to location & network congestion. Check out our 5G mobile phones.
Vodafone will not charge its customers extra for access to our 5G network on our current phone plans.
As a global brand, we are also proud to say that our customers using $5 Roaming with a 5G approved device will shortly be able to enjoy 5G in a few of Australia's favourite overseas destinations such as the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Ireland.

You can bring your own 5G device to Vodafone on a SIM Only or prepaid plan, however it may not be compatible with our 5G network. We instead recommend you purchase your 5G approved device through Vodafone. Check out our approved devices to see which have been tested and optimised for use on Vodafone’s network.
