An eSIM, as opposed to a physical SIM, is a SIM that's already embedded into selected mobile phones and tablets, so you don't need a physical SIM to use your plan. It allows you to have up to five different plans on the same device and you can switch between them as you wish.
If your device has dual-SIM capability, you can use two plans at the same time by having one plan on your physical SIM and the other on your eSIM. For example, you'll be able to use one plan for business and another plan for personal use.
Activating an eSIM is now also faster and simpler, as you no longer need to scan a QR code.

Yes. If your old phone is eligible for trade-in, you could earn credit which is applied to your selected Vodafone service when you stay connected over 12, 24 or 36 months.

Head to our trade-in page and enter the device you’d like to trade-in to check eligibility and to get a trade-in credit estimate.
When you have your new device and after you’ve obtained a credit estimate, we’ll ask questions about the condition of your device you’d like to trade-in.
Once you’ve completed the device assessment, we’ll send you a Trade ID information email with your estimated trade-in credit.
Within 14 days, take your trade-in device and Trade ID information email to a Vodafone store or mail your device to Asurion at an Australia Post office.

Unfortunately, we’re no longer offering Vodafone Keep Talking Insurance. When you upgrade your device, your current insurance will be automatically removed.

Device Discount
Device Discount is a discount off the device RRP and is only available to eligible new and upgrading customers who purchase a device with a device repayment period of 12, 24 or 36 months, and sign up or upgrade, and stay connected to an eligible Consumer Postpaid Mobile Plan (‘Eligible Plan’). Device Discounts vary depending on the device (as advertised), and some Device Discounts may only be available when you stay connected to an Eligible Plan over 24 or 36 months (ie. some Device Discounts may not be available for a repayment period of 12 months). Not applicable for customers purchasing a device outright. The Device Discount will apply for the length of your chosen device repayment period (12/24/36 months). If you cancel your plan or your device repayment, your Device Discount will be forfeited, and you must pay out your device on your next bill at the undiscounted rate (i.e. 100% of remaining device repayments at full RRP x months remaining). Device Discount will not be forfeited if you rate plan change but will be forfeited if you change to an ineligible plan, such as a SIM Only plan. Network Satisfaction Guarantee
If you’re a new customer and you’ve signed up to any new postpaid mobile, mobile broadband or 4G Home Internet plan and you don't love our network within the first 30 days of sign-up, or in the case of a Vodafone nbn® plan within the first 30 days of service activation, you’re welcome to cancel by calling 1300 551 198 (excludes upgrades and rate plan changes). You will only have to pay for those services you’ve used or for charges incurred, that are not included in your plan, up until your number or nbn® service is fully transferred and device or modem and equipment in original packaging with proof of purchase returned to a Vodafone (not dealer) store within 10 days of your claim. Data on Vodafone $79 Extra Large Plan
No excess data charges in Australia. All data for use in Australia within the Vodafone Network coverage area. Vodafone Extra Large Plans include an included data allowance (which is data at the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to you, depending on your handset and the time and place you are using your data), which will be used first; thereafter, data is available at speeds of up to 2Mbps until your next billing month. With 2Mbps you can check your socials, browse the web and stream music but is not suitable for HD video. For more information of what you can and can’t do at speeds of up to 2Mbps, check out our speed guide. Tethering is permitted from your mobile to personal devices only but must not be used in a modem or as a substitute for a home internet service. Heavy data users may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods. Actual speeds you reach will continually vary depending on many factors such as device capabilities, location, network congestion, network coverage, if you are roaming and if you are a heavy data user. Vodafone’s 5G Network is progressively being rolled out to selected parts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth. 5G approved device required, with an eligible Vodafone plan, in a Vodafone 5G Coverage area to access the 5G Network. In non-5G coverage areas, you’ll automatically switch to our 4G networks. Actual speeds vary due to location & network congestion. Vodafone Price Beat
The Vodafone 5G Phone Price Beat Guarantee is a new promotion from Vodafone for its Australian customers. Under Vodafone’s Price Beat Guarantee, if a customer sees an Eligible Device advertised cheaper at an Eligible Retailer, Vodafone will beat that competing price by AUD$10 (Promotion). Eligible Device means any 5G mobile phone that Vodafone currently sells via its official Australian online and retail channels. Eligible Retailer means the official Australian online and retail outlets of Telstra, Optus, Apple and Samsung.
Price Beat Terms
- Competitor’s Eligible Device must be brand new and in stock from an Eligible Retailer.
- Promotion is only available to Vodafone personal consumer customers and small business customers with an ABN.
- Promotion excludes pre-paid devices or pre-paid accounts.
- To participate in the Promotion and claim a price beat, a customer must call Vodafone, initiate a chat with a Vodafone agent online, visit one of our Vodafone retail stores or authorised dealers, or submit a claim via our online form. For in store or over the phone claims, the customer must mention Vodafone’s price beat campaign, the device they are seeking to buy and tell the agent where they saw the competing offer. Vodafone may ask for evidence of the competing offer. The agent will verify the competing price and the customer will be advised whether or not they are successful. Customers claiming over the phone or via our online chat will be immediately notified of the success of their claim. For claims via our online form, the customer must supply evidence of the competing offer via webpage URL, along with proof of purchase of the 5G phone from Vodafone. Customer’s claiming in store or via online form will be notified within 14 days of the success of their claim.
- In relation to purchases made online, there is no guarantee that a customer’s application will be successful. As such, customers should not make their mobile plan purchases in reliance upon the Price Beat Guarantee, and should familiarise themselves with the terms that apply to this promotion, in particular what evidence is required to support a claim, and which competing retails the promotion applies to.
- Successful price beat claims will receive AUD$10 off the competitor’s advertised retail price of the Eligible Device.
- The customer will receive a discount of the difference in price between Vodafone’s advertised price and the competitor’s advertised price plus $10. That discount will be applied by way of a recurring credit divided equally across each bill over the life of the plan contract.
- Competitor’s Eligible Device must be the same SKU (Model / Colour / Storage Capacity) as Eligible Device advertised by Vodafone you are selecting for purchase.
- Promotion applies to new Eligible Devices only and does not include any price beat against third party offers for devices that are second hand, refurbished, exdemonstration, display units, or available by clearance, liquidation or auction processes.
- Vodafone will not honour any claims made in relation to offers by unauthorised distributors, third-party sellers on marketplaces, overseas stock or delivered directly to customers from an overseas distributor.
- Promotion is only available in the same channel that the 5G phone was purchased. If the purchase was made in store, the claim must also be made in store at that time. If the purchase was made via our online store, then the claim must also be made via our online form, and must be done within 5 days after purchasing.
- Promotion is only against a competitor’s comparable recommended retail price or their publicly advertised discounted price inclusive of any additional fees, taxes, delivery or freight. Pricing errors, cashback offers and “run out” or “closing down” offers are excluded.
- Promotion excludes competing Eligible Device prices where they are discounted based on acquiring a specific plan, receiving a gift-with-purchase, or value received after a device trade-in.
- Limit of five (5) price beats per customer. Limit of one (1) price beat per phone number. Promotion cannot be used to acquire devices for commercial use or resale.
- Promotion can only be applied once per Eligible Device.
- We will not honour the Promotion if we determine that the evidence provided is not genuine, has been falsified or tampered with in any way.
- Promotion can be withdrawn or altered at any time without notice.
- Where a customer disconnects a service prior to the contracted full term, any remaining price beat discounts will be removed and the device will be charged at the full, remaining undiscounted recommended retail price.
- Vodafone has full discretion to make any determination it reasonably sees fit in approving, denying or querying a claim under this Promotion and reserves all rights in that respect.

The plan includes a credit of up to $1299 when you stay connected for 36 months (Credit). The Credit is applied to your account in instalments each month for a maximum of 36 months.
