Available if you’re a new Vodafone customer, approved for a postpaid plan only including Postpaid Mobile, Postpaid Mobile Broadband, 4G Home Internet and nbn®, and it doesn't count for upgrades or rate plan changes.
To make a claim, you can give us a call on or 1555 (if you are calling from a Vodafone device) or 1300 551 198 (if you are calling from a non-Vodafone device).
You'll need to return your new device(s), with all its original packaging and accessories within 10 business days of making the claim. We will discuss a return process that works for you when you contact us. You have to be sure that the device or modem is in good working order meaning undamaged and as it was when you took it out of the box. You’ll also need your proof of purchase (receipt).
You will only have to pay for excess usage charges, or charges for services that aren’t included in your plan (for example, roaming, international calls or calls to premium numbers) or if applicable a New Development Fee or other charges for call outs when there is a missed appointment or where no fault is found by nbn®, that you have incurred up to the date the cancellation is finalised or on the final day of your first billing cycle (if you are a SIM only month to month plan customer). It is considered finalised on the date you return everything, in original condition, to a participating network guarantee store, unless you are transferring your number or nbn® service to another carrier – in that case it will be finalised once everything’s returned and your number or nbn® service has been successfully transferred.
Under this guarantee, we can’t actually refund you for any additional accessories that you’ve purchased. If you decide you want to keep your device(s), then we'll obviously need you to pay for it – you’ll see this on your final bill.
If you purchased a modem outright as a Mobile Broadband customer or it was provided at $0 upfront when you stay connected for 24 months as an nbn® or 4G Home Internet customer, we’ll refund the cost of it when you return it in its original condition to a Vodafone store, within 10 days of your service being cancelled. If you’re adding a new service to your current Vodafone account, the 30 Day Network Satisfaction Guarantee only applies to the new service and not to existing services on the account – unless, of course, they are less than 30 days young themselves and also eligible.
If there are any credits on your account that have been given to you by Vodafone, they won't be refunded, exchanged or redeemable for cash when you claim.
Where you have an individual plan, the 30 Day Network Satisfaction Guarantee applies to a maximum of one mobile, one mobile broadband, one 4G Home Internet and one Vodafone nbn® claim per person per year. Where you have multiple shared plans, the 30 Day Network Satisfaction Guarantee applies to a maximum of one claim per plan on up to 10 claims per account, per person per year.

Device Discount
Device Discount is a discount off the device RRP and is only available to eligible new and upgrading customers who purchase a device with a device repayment period of 12, 24 or 36 months, and sign up or upgrade, and stay connected to an eligible Consumer Postpaid Mobile Plan (‘Eligible Plan’). Device Discounts vary depending on the device (as advertised), and some Device Discounts may only be available when you stay connected to an Eligible Plan over 24 or 36 months (ie. some Device Discounts may not be available for a repayment period of 12 months). Not applicable for customers purchasing a device outright. The Device Discount will apply for the length of your chosen device repayment period (12/24/36 months). If you cancel your plan or your device repayment, your Device Discount will be forfeited, and you must pay out your device on your next bill at the undiscounted rate (i.e. 100% of remaining device repayments at full RRP x months remaining). Device Discount will not be forfeited if you rate plan change but will be forfeited if you change to an ineligible plan, such as a SIM Only plan. Your monthly device repayments may vary depending on your chosen repayment period (12/24/36 months) and are applied as a monthly recurring credit against the device repayment. Vodafone Refer a Friend
Existing customers on a Vodafone Personal SIM Only, Mobile Phone, Mobile Broadband, NBN, 4G Home Internet or 5G Home Internet plan (“Eligible Plan”), and new customers who are provided a unique code by the eligible existing customer, sign up to and activate an Eligible Plan, will both receive a one-off credit at the time of the new customer’s third bill after activation (the “waiting period”). The credit value is determined by the Eligible Plan the new customer activates as per the following: Mobile phone, tablet or modem with a plan: $50, SIM Only plan for phones, tablets or modems: $25, nbn® Plan: $25, 4G Home Internet Plan: $25, and 5G Home Internet Plan: $25. These credit values are subject to change.
Only one credit can be applied for each unique new customer activation using a Refer-a-Friend code. If a new customer signs up to and activates multiple Eligible Plans, the credit with the highest value will be applied. The credit will be automatically applied as an adjustment to the monthly bill for the existing customer and the referred friend. Existing customers may share their unique code an unlimited number of times, although they can only receive a maximum of 5 credits every 12 months. Each of the 5 credits will renew 12 months after the referred friend activates their service (unless the referred friend cancels their service during the waiting period, in which case that credit will renew 90 days after the referred friend activates their service). The unique code must be applied when signing up to an Eligible Plan and cannot be applied retrospectively. Existing customers can start referring after activation of their Vodafone Eligible Plan.
