Our Data Only Starter Packs come with heaps of data and a SIM card to get you started with your own tablet or modem. Our Modem Starter Kit comes with heaps of data, a SIM card and a Vodafone Pocket WiFi® 6 CM52 5G to get you started with a new modem.

Using a modem or tablet, Prepaid Data Only gives you a wireless connection to the internet via a mobile network. Vodafone uses the same network for mobile phones, tablets and mobile internet modems.

Yes, if you have a compatible 5G approved modem you’ll be able to access the Vodafone 5G network with our Prepaid Data Only plans.

If you bought a valid voucher prior to the new plan changes, you’ll still be able to recharge these with the new inclusions at no additional cost up until your voucher expiry date. At the end of the expiry period, you’ll only be able to recharge on the new plans.

Prepaid Data Only plan:  Must activate Vodafone SIM within 365 days of purchase. When you activate your Vodafone SIM, you accept the Vodafone Standard Form of Agreement. A summary and the full agreement are available at vodafone.com.au/sfoa. All offers subject to change. Prescribed ID and user details must be provided. Recharge costs additional. Not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Not for commercial or resale purposes. Data for use in Australia.

Prepaid Data Only Starter Pack
 1. The Prepaid Data Only Starter Pack (“Starter Pack”) contains a SIM only – no device included. You must have a compatible Vodafone or unlocked device to use the Starter Pack. Must activate within 365 days of purchase. Not for commercial or resale purposes.
2. Data contained in the Starter Packs expires after 7 days for $13 Starter Pack, 30 days for $40, $50 and $60 Starter Packs or 365 days for $180 and $250 Starter Packs. Unused included data will roll over once into your next recharge period (up to 50GB) and will be available for use until the expiry of your current recharge. Any unused rolled over data will be forfeited. Any unused Bonus Data does not will also rollover. For use in Australia only. Usage is calculated in 1kB increments. Pricing subject to change. All offer end dates and recharge times are in Australian Eastern Standard or Daylight time (AEST/AEDT).
3. When you activate your Vodafone SIM you accept the Vodafone Standard Form of Agreement. Prescribed ID and user details must be provided. Recharge costs additional.

You can use Vodafone 4G in our 4G areas. 4G in selected areas in Australia. Check your device is compatible to the coverage areas you will use. Actual speeds vary due to things like device capability, location & network congestion. See our coverage checker.
