Month-to-month plans
All Vodafone nbn® plans are month to month, so you can change or cancel your plan to suit your needs at any time without paying a fee. If you have an nbn® plan with a Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem and Mesh, and cancel within 24 months, simply pay out your modem when you leave on your next bill.

Wi-Fi 7 is the latest leap in wireless tech –  and it’s a big one. Think faster downloads, smoother streaming and lower lag, even when your whole household is online.

It’s designed to handle more devices at once. Whether you're gaming in 4K, video calling from the kitchen or streaming in every room, Wi-Fi 7 keeps things speedy and stable on our high-speed plans. Compatible devices required.

Vodafone Super Wi-Fi is your ticket to fast, reliable room-to-room connection – so you can scroll, stream and stay connected without a second thought.

The system pairs the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem with up to 3 Super Wi-Fi Mesh units to create one powerful, self-optimising network. The result? Smarter coverage, stronger performance and connection that just works.

Both help boost your Wi-Fi, but they work in different ways. Extenders stretch your signal. Mesh systems surround you with it.

  • Wi-Fi extender: Think of it as a signal repeater. It grabs the Wi-Fi from your modem and rebroadcasts it to reach further. It’s simple and affordable, but can sometimes slow things down or create a separate network name.
  • Wi-Fi mesh: This is next-level. Mesh uses multiple devices placed around your home. They all talk to each other and your modem, creating one  network with strong signal everywhere. No switching networks, no dropouts – just smooth coverage throughout your home.

Start with smart placement – your modem should be high up and central, not buried behind furniture. If you’ve got thick walls, multiple floors, or rooms where the signal disappears, a mesh Wi-Fi unit can help. It’s ideal for larger homes or households with lots of connected devices. A fibre upgrade is a Fibre-To-The-Premises (FTTP) technology upgrade from nbn®. Having an FTTP connection will mean that fibre will be connected all the way to your home – it's the best nbn® option available in Australia. Find out more on our support page.

All Vodafone Wi-Fi Super modems and TP-Link VX420-G2H modems will work with an upgraded fibre connection. 

Our fibre upgrade plans require a high-speed compatible modem. You can find our high-speed compatible modem requirements here. Devices that don’t support Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit Ethernet may not be able to achieve the speeds available on our high-speed nbn® plans with maximum speeds higher than 100Mbps.

If you’re using the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub™ 1.0, it is not compatible with our Home Fast+ Plan, nbn® Home Superfast Plan or nbn® Home Ultrafast Plan.

If you have a Vodafone mobile plan, you'll get the speeds of the next highest nbn® plan available at no extra cost.

Receive modem
If you signed up to a plan with a modem, we’ll send you the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem with free next day delivery on orders approved by 12pm weekdays. 


Optional Mobile Backup feature
With the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem, you can configure the modem to connect to a mobile hotspot network from your mobile phone from day one and during an nbn® outage. The feature uses your mobile data at your own cost.

Depending on your nbn® technology type, we may contact you about installation. 

Connect to nbn®  
You'll automatically come off your mobile data (if you have used the Mobile Backup feature) and connect to the nbn® network. If you need help, check out our troubleshooting guide. 

You can keep your landline phone number with our Vodafone Mobile Landline service for $5 a month.

We don’t offer a home phone line with Vodafone nbn®. If you currently have a home phone line, it may be disconnected when Vodafone nbn® is installed, depending on the technology type. If it’s disconnected, you’ll lose any services associated with it.

Devices that use home phone lines
Existing technologies or devices that use your home phone line service may not be compatible with Vodafone nbn® and may no longer work after installation. These include but are not limited to:

- Medical devices or alarms with autodiallers and emergency call button capabilities
- Security alarms or services
- EFTPOS terminals
- Lift emergency phones
- Fax and Text Telephones (TTY) devices or services


Check with the manufacturer to see if your device is compatible on Vodafone nbn®. For more information on device compatibility, check out the nbn co website.

Priority Assistance

Since Vodafone nbn® does not come with a home phone line, we are unable to offer Priority Assistance.

Priority Assistance is a service designed to help Australians who have, or live with someone who has a diagnosed life-threatening medical condition, and whose life may be at risk without access to a fully operational phone service.

If you have a pay TV subscription or other services bundled with your current provider, check with them about unbundling the services.

Discount available to approved new and existing Vodafone NBN and Vodafone 5G Home Internet (Eligible Plan) customers with a Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem who purchase a Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Mesh (Eligible Customers). Discount applies only to the purchase of the first Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Mesh and not to the purchase of any subsequent mesh. Discount includes: $0 for the first Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Mesh when an Eligible Customer stays connected to a Vodafone NBN plan over a 24 month Accessory Payment Plan (APP) or a Vodafone 5G Home Internet plan over a 36 month APP. APPs over a 12 month term are not eligible for the Discount. If you cancel your Eligible Plan during the APP term, the Discount will be forfeited, and the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Mesh must be paid out on your next bill at the undiscounted rate ($6 x months remaining for Vodafone NBN customers and $4 x months remaining for Vodafone 5G Home Internet customers). If you’re a new customer and you’ve signed up to any new postpaid mobile, mobile broadband or Home Internet plan and you don't love our network within the first 30 days of sign-up, or in the case of a Vodafone nbn® or Vision plan within the first 30 days of service activation, you’re welcome to cancel by calling 1300 551 198 (excludes upgrades and rate plan changes). You will only have to pay for those services you’ve used or for charges incurred, that are not included in your plan, up until your number or nbn® or Vision service is fully transferred and return your device or modem and equipment in original packaging with proof of purchase returned to a Vodafone (not dealer) store within 10 days of your claim. Where you have an individual plan, you can make one claim per year per person. Where you have multiple shared plans on your account, you can make one claim in relation to each plan, for up to 10 claims per account, per year per person. Accessories not refunded. Changing your plan
Only applies to changes to another nbn® Plan. Your new plan speed will begin immediately. You will be refunded for the plan fee for the remainder of the month on a pro-rata basis and you be will charged your new plan fee calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of the month.

Accessories Payment Plan: Accessories may be purchased on an Accessory Payment Plan (APP) over 12, 24 or 36 months duration (Commitment Period). The outright price of your chosen accessory (as set by Vodafone at your time of purchase) will be spread in equal instalments over your chosen Commitment Period. Once chosen, your Commitment Period is fixed (unless you elect to pay your total remaining balance in full in one instalment). APP is only available to eligible customers who connect (and remain connected to) an active and eligible Postpaid Plan (Eligible Plan) and must agree to and pass a credit check. If you cancel your Eligible Plan or your APP, your APP will also automatically cancel and 100% of remaining APP instalments plus any outstanding charges on your Eligible Plan will be applied to your next bill. Minimum monthly spend and terms and conditions apply for Eligible Plan. You can have a max of 5 APP per Eligible Plan. Each APP can have up to 10 accessories. Not available online. Full T&C apply.

You can use Vodafone 4G in our 4G areas. 4G in selected areas in Australia. Check your device is compatible to the coverage areas you will use. Actual speeds vary due to things like device capability, location & network congestion. See our coverage checker.

Vodafone nbn® plans
For personal use by approved customers only. Subject to service qualification check. Vodafone nbn® is a data-only service and is not compatible with your home phone line service meaning you may no longer be able to use your landline (or existing phone number) for calls after you sign-up. Vodafone nbn® service may also impact or interfere with existing technology, devices or services at your premises including medical devices, alarms, eftpos machines, lift emergency phones and some email or fax services. You cannot share the data between your Vodafone nbn® plan and your Vodafone postpaid mobile plan and vice versa. You can find out which plans support sharing or you can opt-out of sharing altogether at any time by calling 1555. Additional fees may apply for nbn® installation or appointments.

You can purchase the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem (‘Modem’) or bring your own compatible modem. The total maximum cost of the Modem is $336. There is no option to purchase the Modem outright or on a monthly payment plan. The Modem cost equates to $14 per month (‘Undiscounted Price’) over 24 months or $0 per month (‘Discounted Price’) if you stay connected for 24 months (‘Device Period’). The Discounted Price will appear as a credit on your monthly bill. If you choose to cancel your plan before the end of the Device Period you will need to pay the full Undiscounted Price x months remaining on Device Period. For example, if you leave at month 18 you would pay $14 x 6 (number of remaining months), at a total of $84. This remaining Modem cost will be applied as a lump sum on your final bill. You must connect for a minimum of one month. Recurring monthly plan fees are charged until the end of the month in which you notify that you wish to cancel. You will be charged for using your plan from the point of nbn® activation at your premises. Total minimum cost excludes any additional costs for call outs when there is a missed appointment or where no fault is found or the $300 New Development Charge that is triggered when you live in a new development.

For Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem: Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem can operate with a maximum of 100 compatible Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously on Wi-Fi 7. If you’re using the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub™ 1.0, it is not compatible with our Home Fast+ Plan, nbn® Home Superfast Plan or nbn® Home Ultrafast Plan.

BYO modem: You must supply your own Compatible Modem which complies with the minimum specifications available at vodafone.com.au. nbn® Home Fast+, Home Superfast and nbn® Home Ultrafast plans require a high-speed compatible modem (this includes existing mobile customers at FTTP/HFC addresses with a Speed Upgrade from nbn® Essential+). Check our high-speed compatible modem requirements here. You should check with your device manufacturer or check the device specifications on your Approved Device or Compatible Modem (as applicable) to identify the speed capabilities and limitations of the device, including any device you use to when connecting to the NBN Service.

nbn® Speed Upgrade for existing postpaid mobile phone plan customers
Eligible existing Postpaid Mobile customers will have a Speed Upgrade applied to their nbn® service. Postpaid voice customers only. Excludes Mobile Broadband customers. You don’t have to bundle the nbn® service. However, in order to receive the Speed Upgrade on your nbn® plan, you will need to have an existing Postpaid Mobile service on the same account and remain connected to both services, otherwise you will have the Speed Upgrade removed. To receive the Speed Upgrade, your Postpaid Mobile plan and this nbn® plan must have the same billing name and billing address. If you cancel your Postpaid Mobile plan or this nbn® plan, the Speed Upgrade will be forfeited and removed from your service. This offer is available in conjunction with other in-market offers. Offer not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Not for commercial or resale purposes. Offer is subject to change.

Offer applies to customers who from 2 September 2024: (a) add a new nbn® service to their existing Postpaid Mobile service; (b) change their nbn® plan when combined with an existing Postpaid Mobile service; or (c) add a Postpaid Mobile service to an existing nbn® service which was connected or changed plan from 2 September 2024. The Speed Upgrade will be applied within one week of activating the nbn® service or adding the Postpaid Mobile service. The Speed Upgrade offers the speeds of the next highest nbn® speed tier above the speed tier purchased by the customer. The Speed Upgrade involves an increase to the maximum theoretical off-peak speeds for your plan. The actual speeds you experience will vary based on a number of factors, including technology type, plan choice and internet traffic demand. Speed Upgrades from nbn® Essential+ and above at FTTP/HFC addresses require a compatible high speed modem.

There is no additional cost for the Speed Upgrade. The Speed Upgrade will appear on the bill as an Add on with no charge.

Eligibility for the Speed Upgrade is subject to technology and line speed capability at your address. Availability is subject to a service qualification check which we will perform when you request to sign-up. The technology used to deliver the nbn® Service will depend on the connection between your premises and the nbn® Network which includes: (1) Fibre to the Premises (‘FTTP’); (2) Fibre to the Node (‘FTTN’); (3) Fibre to the Building (‘FTTB’); (4) Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (‘HFC’); (5) Fibre to the Curb (FTTC). The following categories of customers are not eligible for Speed Upgrade:

  • FTTC, FTTN or FTTB connections connecting to Home Fast, as this is the highest available nbn® speed tier for those technology types.
  • FTTC, FTTN or FTTB connections where the max attainable line speed is not capable of supporting the next highest nbn® speed tier. These customers will have the Speed Upgrade applied to their account, but will not receive the benefit, or the full benefit, of the higher speed tier if it exceeds the max attainable line speed at their address. Existing postpaid mobile phone customers connecting on FTTC, FTTN or FTTB technologies will have their max attainable line speed check carried out against the higher nbn® speed tier provided by this offer, rather than the speed tier purchased.
  • FTTP or HFC connections connecting to Home Ultrafast, as this is the highest available nbn® speed tier.
  • Customers on nbn® pre-fibre Interim plans. These customers will receive the Speed Upgrade on their final plan following installation of their fibre upgrade.

In some circumstances where you would not be eligible for the Speed Upgrade for the reasons above, we may automatically change the plan you pay for to a lower speed tier and apply a $0 Speed Upgrade to the speeds of the plan above.

nbn® Speed
The nbn® speed tier represents the theoretical maximum possible speed available during off-peak periods. Speed will vary on a number of factors. For more information on speed tiers and to further understand and compare plans please see our Speed Guide for more information.

Internet speeds on this plan are variable and you will typically experience much slower speeds than the maximum connection speed available on your plan. The nbn® Home Fast+, nbn® Home Superfast and nbn® Home Ultrafast plans are only available in nbn FTTP areas and nbn HFC areas. The nbn® Home Fast plan is only available in nbn FTTB/N/C areas. For FTTB/N/C customers, if after connection your plan is not supported by the maximum attainable speed available then we will contact you with more information and provide other options. Typical Busy Speed: This is the typical evening download speed that the average consumer can expect to receive between 7pm and 11pm. It is not a guaranteed minimum speed and you may experience lower speeds during this period and at other times. Typical evening upload speed is estimated by reference to the maximum upload speed and is not a guaranteed minimum speed. Estimated typical evening download speed: As this is a new plan, the speed stated here is currently based on an estimate. Vodafone will revise the typical evening download speed once it has collected enough data on the speed performance for these plans. The actual speeds you experience will vary on a number of factors such as the nbn® technology used to deliver your service, plan choice, location, internet traffic demand, our network, line condition, the number of devices connected to your network, modem type and positioning, Wi-Fi performance, in-building wiring, and the content you access.
