nbn® plans only: You will typically experience slower speeds than the maximum connection speed available on your plan. Typical Evening Download Speed: This is the typical download speed you may experience between 7pm and 11pm. It is not a guaranteed minimum speed and you may experience lower speeds during this period and at other times. Typical Evening Upload Speed is estimated by reference to the maximum upload speed and is not a guaranteed minimum speed. Actual speeds for FTTB/N/C services to be confirmed. Speed will vary on a number of factors such as technology type, plan choice and internet traffic demand. Please see our Speed Guide for more information.
The nbn® network refers to the ongoing upgrade of Australia’s current phone and internet infrastructure by the corporation nbn co limited, otherwise known as nbn®.
Vision is a privately owned fibre network, separate to the nbn® network. It offers a more affordable way to get connected while still giving you the same great speeds.
Our Vision plans run on Fibre to the Building (FTTB), Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) and Very-High Bitrate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) technologies.
Unlimited data
All Vodafone nbn® plans come with unlimited data so you can stream, download and share what you love. Fair Use Policy applies. T&C apply.
Super Wi-Fi with the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology
Our Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem, paired with Super Wi-Fi Mesh, creates a powerful, self-optimising network. The result? Smarter coverage, stronger performance and connection that just works. T&C apply.
Month-to-month plans
All Vodafone nbn® plans are month to month, so you can change or cancel your plan to suit your needs at any time without paying a fee. If you have a plan with a Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem, and cancel within 24 months, simply pay out your modem when you leave on your next bill.
Wi-Fi 7 is the latest leap in wireless tech and it’s a big one. Think faster downloads, smoother streaming and lower lag, even when your whole household is online.
It’s designed to handle more devices at once. Whether you're gaming in 4K, video calling from the kitchen or streaming in every room, Wi-Fi 7 keeps things speedy and stable.
Vodafone Super Wi-Fi is your ticket to fast, reliable room-to-room connection – so you can scroll, stream and stay connected without a second thought.
The system pairs the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem with up to 3 Super Wi-Fi Mesh units to create one powerful, self-optimising network. The result? Smarter coverage, stronger performance and connection that just works.
Start with smart placement – your modem should be high up and central, not buried behind furniture. If you’ve got thick walls, multiple floors, or rooms where the signal disappears, a mesh Wi-Fi unit can help. It’s ideal for larger homes or households with lots of connected devices. Learn more about improving the Wi-Fi signal in your home or explore the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Mesh.
Both help boost your Wi-Fi, but they work in different ways. Extenders stretch your signal. Mesh systems surround you with it.
Wi-Fi extender: Think of it as a signal repeater. It grabs the Wi-Fi from your modem and rebroadcasts it to reach further. It’s simple and affordable, but can sometimes slow things down or create a separate network name.
Wi-Fi mesh: This is next-level. Mesh uses multiple devices placed around your home. They all talk to each other and your modem, creating one network with strong signal everywhere. No switching networks, no dropouts – just smooth coverage throughout your home.
Here are the next steps to connect to the nbn®.
Receive modem
If you signed up to a plan with a modem, we’ll send you the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem with free next day delivery on orders approved by 12pm weekdays.
Connect to mobile data
With the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi modem, you can connect your devices to your mobile data network from day one. Mobile data required.
nbn installation
Depending on your nbn® technology type, we may contact you about installation.
Connect to nbn®
You'll automatically come off your mobile data and connect to the nbn® network. If you need help, check out our troubleshooting guide.
A fibre upgrade is a Fibre-To-The-Premises (FTTP) technology upgrade from nbn®. Having an FTTP connection will mean that fibre will be connected all the way to your home – it's the best nbn® option available in Australia. Find out more on our support page.
All Vodafone Wi-Fi Super modems and TP-Link VX420-G2H modems will work with an upgraded fibre connection.
If you already have an nbn® compatible modem, you don’t have to get a new modem. If you have a different BYO modem, it may work if it is less than 3 years old.
If you’re using an older modem, like the Vodafone Wi-Fi HubTM 1.0, you will need to connect via the modem’s 5Ghz Wi-Fi connection. The Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub 1.0 only supports up to 100Mbps via ethernet.
If you have a Vodafone mobile plan, you'll get the speeds of the next highest nbn® plan available at no extra cost.
Eligibility is subject to technology and line speed capability at your address.
Typically, your address can be switched to Vision with little downtime. You can continue to use your existing services until your Vision appointment, where in most cases a Vision installer will disconnect your existing services, in order to connect you to the Vision network. Switching is simple, just call our expert Sales team on 1300 801 122 to get started. Remember: moving to Vision will not necessarily cancel your broadband and phone services. Once you’ve switched, please contact your existing provider to ensure your old services are cancelled, otherwise you may continue to be billed for them.
Typically, Vision connections are completed within 5 business days. Connection time varies depending on whether or not you've had broadband installed at your address previously, as well as Vision installer availability.
If a Vision technician is required to visit your premises to install any required equipment or complete your connection, the Vision will be in touch to book a suitable appointment with you. The Vision technician will need access to your home and someone aged 18+ must be home. If you do not own the property, you must obtain consent from the owner in order to have Vodafone Vision installed. Vodafone is responsible for delivering the service to the network boundary point at your premises. You are responsible for all cabling and wiring within your premises. Where cabling does not exist or you have a fault with the wiring in your premises, you must arrange for your own contractor to rectify this. You are responsible for setting up your TP-Link VX420-G2H or compatible modem and your Wi-Fi network.
You can keep your landline phone number with our Vodafone Mobile Landline service for $5 a month.
We don’t offer a home phone line with Vodafone nbn®. If you currently have a home phone line, it may be disconnected when Vodafone nbn® is installed, depending on the technology type. If it’s disconnected, you’ll lose any services associated with it.
Devices that use home phone lines
Existing technologies or devices that use your home phone line service may not be compatible with Vodafone nbn® and may no longer work after installation. These include but are not limited to:
- Medical devices or alarms with autodiallers and emergency call button capabilities
- Security alarms or services
- EFTPOS terminals
- Lift emergency phones
- Fax and Text Telephones (TTY) devices or services
Check with the manufacturer to see if your device is compatible on Vodafone nbn®. For more information on device compatibility, check out the nbn co website.
Priority Assistance
Since Vodafone nbn® does not come with a home phone line, we are unable to offer Priority Assistance.
Priority Assistance is a service designed to help Australians who have, or live with someone who has a diagnosed life-threatening medical condition, and whose life may be at risk without access to a fully operational phone service.
For more information, check out the Australian Communications and Media Authority website.
If you have an email address with your current provider, check with them whether you can keep the email when you sign up to Vodafone nbn®.
If you have a pay TV subscription or other services bundled with your current provider, check with them about unbundling the services.
If you already have an active Vision service at your address and you'd like to switch to a Vodafone Vision Plan, please call us on 1300 801 122 to arrange a service transfer. Once lodged, service transfers typically take less than 2 business days to complete, and downtime is typically less than 24 hours.
You may prefer to have internal network cabling installed at your address for your internet, especially if Wi-Fi doesn't cover your house from end to end or you want to be sure you're always getting the maximum speed possible when transferring large amounts of data between devices in your home.
An FTTB/VDSL or HFC installation does not include additional home network wiring beyond the installation of the Network Boundary Point only applicable to FTTB: your side of the building’s Main Distribution Frame.
By switching to Vision your existing smart wiring setup may need to be re-wired to work with Vision, depending on the type of Vision installation your premises requires. You'll need to hire a registered cabler if you'd like to have any additional home network wiring installed or to re-wire your existing cabling.
Certain devices, equipment or services may be impacted and no longer operate including but not limited to, medical devices or alarms, security alarms, EFTPOS machines, lift emergency phones, fax services and existing pay TV services. Please contact the device or equipment manufacturer or service provider if you are unsure if you will be impacted. Vodafone does not offer Priority Assistance.
No. We offer free express delivery for all Vodafone products (including Home Internet modems).
No. We’re unable to offer static IP addresses at this time.
Your existing phone and internet services may no longer work once nbn® has been available in your area for 18 months. To continue using Fixed Broadbrand and voice services, most people will need to move to the nbn® network.
Individuals and businesses are not automatically switched over to the nbn® network and will need to get in touch with a phone or internet provider like Vodafone to make the change.

Vodafone Vision speeds
The speed tier represents the theoretical maximum possible speed available during off-peak periods. Internet speeds on this plan are variable and you will typically experience much slower speeds than the maximum connection speed available on your plan. Actual throughput speeds could vary due to various factors including interference, customer cabling and equipment, download source, and line length. Actual speed upon installation will be in the following ranges (download/upload): 70-100Mbps/20-40Mbps for Vision100; and 251Mbps-1Gbps/20-50Mbps for VisionMax. For more information on speed tiers and to further understand and compare plans please see our Speed Guide.
Estimated typical evening download speed is measured between 7pm-11pm. As this is a new plan, the speed stated here is currently based on an estimate. Vodafone will revise the typical evening download speed once it has collected enough data on the speed performance for these plans. Typical evening upload speed is estimated by reference to the maximum upload speed for the plan. These are not guaranteed speeds and you may experience lower speeds during this period and at other times.

Vodafone owns the Modem and retains full legal title and beneficial ownership in the Modem: (i) for refurbished Modems that are issued to you under your Plan - the refurbished Modem must be returned to Vodafone within 30 days of your Plan being cancelled or withdrawn, (ii) for all other modems, including new Modems that are issued to you under your Plan –you must return the Modem within 30 days of your Plan being cancelled or withdrawn. If your Plan is cancelled or withdrawn within 24 months of connecting and you do not return the Modem in Good Working Order within 30 days, a Modem Non-Return Fee will apply. The Non-Return Fee is $0 when you stay connected for 24 months (‘Device Period’). If you do not return the Modem, you will be charged a Non-Return Fee calculated by $7.50 x number of months remaining of the Device Period. The total maximum cost of not returning the Modem is $180. Good Working Order means the returned Modem is near new with only minor signs of wear and includes all original equipment. If you require a modem replacement, you may be provided with a new or refurbished modem and the terms applicable to that type of modem will apply.
The Modem can operate with a maximum of 64 compatible Wi-Fi enabled devices at any one time.
The Plan uses our 4G Vodafone Network and may be subject to data de-prioritisation. Data de-prioritisation means that during peak periods or congestion some data traffic will receive less priority over other traffic on the Vodafone Network, and we may manage the Vodafone Network by de-prioritising your service. This could mean that during periods of congestion you may experience slower speeds than 16Mbps, and the speeds experienced may be different to the speeds experienced using our other services.
All data for use in Australia within the Vodafone Network coverage area and only at your Approved Address. The Plan has a maximum speed of 20Mbps (download) and 2Mbps (upload) and a Typical Evening Speed of 16Mbps (download) and 1.9Mbps (upload). Typical Evening Speeds are subject to change and measured between 7-11 pm. They are not guaranteed speeds and you may experience slower speeds than this during busy periods and at other times.
Actual speeds you reach will continually vary depending on many factors such as deprioritisation, network congestion, the number of devices connected and their capabilities, network coverage and the time you are using data. This plan is suitable for browsing, emails, social media, streaming music, SD and HD video. It is not suitable for 4K streaming and may not be suitable for online gaming. It is suitable for 1-3 users. See our Speed Guide for more detail. Fair Use Policy applies. Plan is not eligible for roaming. You cannot share the data between your Plan and your Vodafone postpaid mobile plan and vice versa. You can find out which plans support sharing or you can opt-out of sharing altogether at any time by calling 1555. Plan is for use at your Approved Address only and may no longer work if you move to another location. You will need to contact us to check service and network availability at the new location and notify us if you wish to set up your service at your new location.
You don’t have to bundle this service. Existing Postpaid Mobile Customer Price is available to existing customers (i) with an existing Postpaid Mobile service (excludes MBB), (ii) who add any Vodafone 4G or 5G Home Internet Plan on the same account (‘Eligible Plan’) and (iii) remain connected to both services. To receive the Existing Postpaid Mobile Customer Price your Postpaid Mobile plan and your Eligible Plan must have the same billing name and billing address. If you cancel your Postpaid Mobile plan or Eligible Plan the discount will be forfeited and you will pay the Stand-alone Price. Discount only applicable on one Eligible Plan. Standalone Price means the undiscounted Minimum Monthly Spend of the Eligible Plan.

The Speed Upgrade will be applied within one week of activating the nbn® service or adding the Postpaid Mobile service. The Speed Upgrade offers the speeds of the next highest nbn® speed tier above the speed tier purchased by the customer. The Speed Upgrade involves an increase to the maximum theoretical off-peak speeds for your plan. The actual speeds you experience will vary based on a number of factors, including technology type, plan choice and internet traffic demand. Speed Upgrades from nbn® Home Fast and above require a compatible high speed modem.
There is no additional cost for the Speed Upgrade. The Speed Upgrade will appear on the bill as an Add on with no charge.
Eligibility for the Speed Upgrade is subject to technology and line speed capability at your address. Availability is subject to a service qualification check which we will perform when you request to sign-up. The technology used to deliver the nbn® Service will depend on the connection between your premises and the nbn® Network which includes: (1) Fibre to the Premises (‘FTTP’); (2) Fibre to the Node (‘FTTN’); (3) Fibre to the Building (‘FTTB’); (4) Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (‘HFC’); (5) Fibre to the Curb (FTTC). The following categories of customers are not eligible for Speed Upgrade:
In some circumstances where you would not be eligible for the Speed Upgrade for the reasons above, we may automatically change the plan you pay for to a lower speed tier and apply a $0 Speed Upgrade to the speeds of the plan above.

nbn® Speed
This speed is an off-peak measure only. Speed will vary on a number of factors. For more information on speed tiers and to further understand and compare plans please see our Speed Guide for more information.
Internet speeds on this plan are variable and you will typically experience much slower speeds than the maximum connection speed available on your plan. The nbn® Home Superfast and nbn® Home Ultrafast plans are only available in nbn FTTP areas and selected nbn HFC areas. For FTTB/N/C customers, if after connection your plan is not supported by the maximum attainable speed available then we will contact you with more information and provide other options. Typical Busy Speed: This is the typical evening download speed that the average consumer can expect to receive between 7pm and 11pm. It is not a guaranteed minimum speed and you may experience lower speeds during this period and at other times. Typical evening upload speed is estimated by reference to the maximum upload speed and is not a guaranteed minimum speed. The actual speeds you experience will vary on a number of factors such as the nbn® technology used to deliver your service, plan choice, location, internet traffic demand, our network, line condition, the number of devices connected to your network, modem type and positioning, Wi-Fi performance, in-building wiring, and the content you access.
Vodafone Vision plans
For personal use by approved customers in select locations only. Subject to service qualification check. Vision FTTB is available in select buildings only. Vision VDSL is available at select locations in the ACT. Vision HFC is available at select locations in the Mildura, Geelong and Ballarat areas. The Vision Max plan (for FTTB and VDSL technology) are only available in selected Vision GFAST areas. Vodafone Vision plans require that you either bring your own Compatible Modem or use a Vodafone provided Compatible Modem (‘Modem’). Vodafone owns the Modem and retains full legal title and beneficial ownership in the Modem: (i) for refurbished Modems that are issued to you under your Plan – the refurbished Modem must be returned to Vodafone within 30 days of your Plan being cancelled or withdrawn. No Modem Non-Return fee applies; (ii) for all other modems, including new Modems that are issued to you under your Plan – you must return the Modem within 30 days of your Plan begin cancelled or withdrawn. You must connect for a minimum of one month. Recurring monthly plan fees are charged until the end of the month in which you notify that you wish to cancel. You will be charged for using your plan from the point of Vision activation at your premises. If you bring your own Compatible Modem, it must comply with the minimum specifications available at vodafone.com.au. Devices manufactured before 2013 may struggle to achieve the speeds available on the Vision Max plans. You should check with your device manufacturer or check the device specifications on your Compatible Modem to identify the speed capabilities and limitations of the device. Vodafone Vision is a data-only service and is not compatible with your home phone line service meaning you may no longer be able to use your landline (or existing phone number) for calls after you sign-up. Vodafone Vision service may also impact or interfere with existing technology, devices or services at your premises including medical devices, alarms, EFTPOS machines, lift emergency phones and some email or fax services.
