Vodafone Prepaid Plus is a flexible, upfront mobile plan that gives you great value without the lock-in. You choose how long your recharge lasts – like 7, 28, 185 or 365 days.

Our Prepaid Plus plans include:

All plans are paid upfront. Recharge online or in the My Vodafone app. You can also set up auto recharge and save $5 or get bonus data – depending on your plan.

Yes, you can bring your number from another provider to Vodafone.

During activation, just select the option to transfer your number from another provider. Make sure to keep your old SIM in your phone until the transfer is complete.

If you’re bringing your current number across from another provider:


1. Leave your old SIM in your phone.

2. Find your activation key on the back of your prepaid starter pack.

3. Go to our activation page and follow the prompts.

4. Have your ID and payment card handy.

5. Once your number is transferred, insert your new SIM and you’re good to go.


If you’re starting fresh with a new Vodafone number:


1. You don’t need to insert the SIM to activate.

2. Find your activation key on the back of your prepaid starter pack.

3. Go to our activation page and follow the prompts.

4. Have your ID and payment card handy.

5. Once activated, insert your SIM and you’re good to go.

- Prepaid: you pay upfront before using your plan. There's no lock-in contract, and you recharge as needed.

- Postpaid: you pay after using your plan, typically through a monthly bill. These plans often come with a contract or minimum term.

- SIM Only: refers to plans that don’t include a new device. You bring your own phone and can choose either a prepaid or postpaid option.

- Send a text message to 1511 with a recharge keyword

- By calling 1511 from your Vodafone phone

You can turn on automatic recharge in a few easy ways:


- During activation: save your card or PayPal details when you activate your SIM.

- In My Vodafone app: go to payment preferences and choose your recharge settings.

- By text: send ‘ATR’ to 1263 from your Vodafone device.


You can change or cancel auto recharge anytime in the My Vodafone app.

If you use all your included data, you’ll still stay connected with speeds up to 1.5Mbps – ideal for browsing, messaging and basic streaming.

Need more data or minutes? You can top up your plan with a prepaid add-on. Just text the relevant code to 1511 (you’ll find these on our prepaid add-ons page). Or use the My Vodafone app to recharge.

Each plan lasts for a different number of days from the time you recharge:

- 7-day plan: perfect for short-term needs or quick top-ups.

- 8-day plan: great for flexibility and frequent recharges.

- 185-day plan: good value for medium-term use.

- 365-day plan: best for long-term savings and low maintenance.

You can choose between multiple payment options including credit/debit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Alipay. You can even pay in interest-free instalments with PayPal Pay in 4.

Yes, you can contact emergency services using a Vodafone approved device. Just make sure you have the latest iOS or Android software update and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is enabled to support emergency calls. Find out here to enable VoLTE.

Prepaid Infinite Data
All data for use in Australia within the Vodafone Network coverage area. Your included data (My Data) and any data saved in your Data Bank data will be used first and this is data at the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to you, depending on your device and the time and place you are using data; thereafter, data is available at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps until your recharge expires. Tethering is permitted to personal devices only, but must not be used in a modem or as a substitute for a home internet service. Heavy data users may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods.

At 1.5Mbps, you can check your socials, browse the web and stream music but is not suitable for HD video. For more information see our Speed Guide.

Actual speeds you reach will continually vary depending on many factors such as device capabilities, location, network congestion, network coverage and if you are roaming. Fair Use Policy applies.

Data Rollover
Eligible plans are Prepaid Plus plans. You can save up to a maximum 200GB of unused data balance when you recharge on an eligible plan before expiry. You will forfeit any unused data balance if you do not recharge before expiry.

You will forfeit any unused data balance that will exceed the 200GB limit of Data Rollover when saving any unused data.

You will lose your Data Rollover balance if you recharge on an ineligible plan, you do not recharge within 90 days of your last expiry date or your service is disconnected or deactivated for any reason. If you move to any plan or offer with a smaller Data Rollover limit, you will lose data in your Data Rollover that is over that limit.

Your eligible plan will automatically start using your Data Rollover balance when you have used up all the data balances on your plan within expiry.

Data Rollover balance cannot be used when your recharge has expired.

Included Standard International Minutes to Selected Destinations
Excludes premium services, special and overseas free phone numbers and video calls. Calls charged in per minute increments Standard Voice Calls to selected list of destinations. Destinations may change from time to time, see international calls page for a list of current destinations. Fair Use Policy applies. My Credit, if you have any, will be used for minutes of standard voice calls to selected destinations once included allocation is exhausted and for calls to any destinations not included in the selected destinations list or otherwise included in your recharge.

Excludes premium services and video calls. Personal use only. Fair use policy applies.

Standard International SMS
One SMS is 160 characters long.

5G
Vodafone’s 5G Network is progressively being rolled out to selected parts of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth. 5G approved device required, with an eligible Vodafone plan, in a Vodafone 5G Coverage area to access the 5G Network. In non-5G coverage areas, you’ll automatically switch to our 4G networks. Actual speeds vary due to location & network congestion.
