This support article will give you information about the key differences between our plans and prepaid services.
|Application and activation||When you apply for a plan you’ll need to submit a credit check before we can approve your connection.||You'll need to provide accepted ID to activate your prepaid service.|
|Invoicing and payments||You’ll receive a tax invoice each month. For more information, check out our support page on paying your bill.||Credit and inclusions are purchased in advance, so no invoice is issued. For information on payment methods for prepaid, check out our support page on recharging your prepaid service.|
|Changing your plan||If you’re on a Month to Month plan, you can change your plan once per billing cycle. For more information, check out our support page on changing your plan.||You can change your recharge option and value each time you recharge.|
With $5 Roaming, you can use your plan in 80 countries for $5 extra per day. If you're on a Plus Plan, you can only use Your Max Speed data with $5 Roaming, along with your call and text inclusions. If you use all of Your Max Speed data, we’ll add 1GB data for $5.
The countries where you can use $5 Roaming may vary, so check our current countries before you travel. You can use $5 Roaming for up to 90 days per calendar year.
If your plan isn’t eligible for $5 Roaming or you’re visiting a country where $5 Roaming isn’t available, Pay As You Go roaming rates apply. T&C apply.
|You can get Prepaid Roaming Add-ons on eligible recharges to get standard international minutes, SMS and data to use in 80 selected countries. If you’re on a Pay and Go, or have a My Credit balance, you can use our roaming rates.|
|Share your data||
You can share the data of eligible plans on your account.
If you’re on a Plus Plan, you can only share your Max Speed Data with other Plus Plans. You can share Your Max Speed data with a total of 5 Plus Plans.
For all other eligible plans, you can share the data of up to 10 plans. This includes a maximum of 5 SIM Only Plans or Red Plans with a phone.

|Getting a device||With our Month to Month Red Plus Plans and Red Plans, you can purchase a device outright or on a 12, 24 or 36 month Mobile Payment Plan.||You can purchase your device outright.|
|Device insurance||You can protect your phone with Vodafone Keep Talking or Keep Talking Plus Mobile Insurance.||Not available on prepaid.|
|Call diversions||You can divert calls to voicemail or another number.||You can divert calls to voicemail.|
